  • Fascinating catching up in a great swathe! Not had a meal out in any way for nearly two years;then it was the Meals on Wheels Lunch Club.. I don;t count my hospital stay as I was too ill to eat... I DO buy excellent " ready meals" with my shopping. At E4 a good buy. I keep a couple in the freezer.  My order of treats from Holland and Barrett arrived yesterday. Parcel broken and taped up by An Post and a few items wrecked. I emailed them and from the stock reply they are having major issues and overwhelmed with a huge increase in orders because of covid. They are an excellent firm to deal with and are simply refunding people. Still rescued a good amount. So all is well. Thursday beginning here and grocery delivery day. It all happens out here. lol...Oh I had a letter from HSE ( our health service). They tested for covid in hospital and i am of course negative. Wool still not here and am almost out of useful yarn. Serious withdrawal  setting in.

A very good morning Island - our early bird today. Its very warm outside already so could be a scorcher later. Off to see Bestie today and I might take my knitting - just in case.

Good morning Island and all to follow. Off to work in a bit so up early. Lovely clear blue skies here. Later on I will be complaining about the heat but I do love a dry sunny summer morning, reminds me of childhood mornings when it was the school holidays and the day stretched before me full of exciting possibilities.

Bad night hence the "early" start. Still very very unwell after that episode a week or so ago   .  Clearly the ME has taken a step forward again.  And at my age of nearly 80 I do not have the resources to fight it.    What are you knitting?  Enjoy your day!

Morning Debs. I hope that work is not too strenuous in the heat which I think is the forecast for the next few days. At least there is a chance that my nephew can come and finish the back gate. Island - feet up! Hope the gales have subsided somewhat. I am knitting a patchwork blanket but have many other knitting projects on the go. Baby matinee (what a quaint, old fashioned word that is!) outfits, lavender bags and toys.

Oh lovely! I used to trade my hand knitting at craft fairs and street  markets for our work in India and do what would sell. Now my faith family sell work in Canada; always add a cable so they can say " hand knitted in Ireland." However ill i get I can always knit! Oh and bright hats for the wee babies in India

Morning Ruby. I hope that you have a good time in your lovely garden. I am soon about to don my suit of armour and leather gauntlets as I am taking Lily to the vet for 10:00. She has that recurring cough problem - defo not Covid - and I want the vet to check her over. I have to ring reception from the car park on my arrival and they will come out to the car. Not sure what happens next. Maybe we just get escorted into the surgery. I'll soon find out though. Hoping after that to get to my Bestie's.

LB Best of luck with the manoeuvres this morning. When I took Nel last week I had to stay outside after the initial consultation at the door, but yours may be different. I hope all goes well for Lily and they can do something to alleviate her cough.
