Morning LB and all to follow. Have a good visit with bestie today.
Maisie and family coming for lunch today will be lovely to see them. Grey skies but dry at the moment hope it stays that way so we can eat outside

T'Bird, all that bindweed wrangling will have exhausted you last night and it will be waving at you when you go out into your garden today.

Morning all. Earlyish start for us today. OH has just left for Cumbria in the motorhome. He's away until Monday when he'll collect MIL on the way home for a 5 day visit.

Goodness knows what we'll do when she's here - suspect she might just be swapping her back garden for our back garden!  I have, at least, managed to book a restaurant for lunch next Thursday. Not easy finding a casual but good dining place that isn't a pub, does a nice range of food including good fish & chips and where we don't have to sit outside and (most importantly!) is actually open at the moment.

Going to The Lighthouse in Aldeburgh which is great. They only reopened this week though so they're still finding out how to make all the new regimes work. Nice people so it's good to support them.

Enjoy your bestie visit LB. I'm away to the SM and then getting things ready for door and windows survey tomorrow.

Well hello everyone. Unfortunately I've had to abandon my trip to Bestie's as DHL (who were supposed to deliver yesterday) emailed me this morning to say they are delivering today! Very annoying but not to worry. We can rearrange our meet.

    Snap! LB.

I've had to re-jig my plans as I've had a text to say that the winged carrier will be delivering this morning. Never mind - plenty of other things to get on with...

LB i hope your parcel is delivered in time and you see Bestie soon.  Hazel I hope you get a better nights sleep tonight and you can feel more rested.  Topbird I hope mil stay goes well you have made some good arrangements, fish and chips will be lovely.  Chey I hope with a small feed your plant will recover, fingers crossed.  It’s quite autumnal today and wet so I’ll be doing the i*****g.  Have a good day.
  • My groceries will arrive by ferry this afternoon. Coal as well. The only  time there is  any delay is when the gales intervene.

Hello and welcome @islandanchoress. If my groceries arrive on Saturday morning by ferry I'll not be a bit surprised the amount of rain I'm getting! I'm digging out the ark plans again:

    Afternoon!

LB - It's a cucumber plant I got yesterday, I think, based on the leaves. Well, leaf.
