Yep; got spirited off in this!Â
Island life gets....dramatic. An awesome service though; getting to Castlebar where the hospital is would take over 2 hours. This was about 10 minutes. see islandanchorhold,blogspot.com. A lifesaver. I am in awe of these men and women. Our modern heroes and heroines. Â
Islandanchoress thank goodness for the coastguard.  Heroes and heroines indeed.  I couldn’t sleep so I’m making myself some fruit tea.
You OK?
And yes, this last week has changed me forever. A while ago a flight ( 116) was lost at sea on a rescue mission  all hands lost and it was a national disaster. Some of the islands that have closed down would have survived had they had choppers then. The EMT who met me; you knew you could reply on him totally. And the speed of response. Â
Happy Sunday all! Dim and cloudy and still here. I have been out gathering vegetables! Always delights me and never loses its joy. Beaten back by "the midge" but there is wind due later. A satisfying bowl filled with peas and broad beans and leafy greens.Â
Good morning to the early birds and all to arrive later. I've been in a helicopter - not as a patient thank goodness and it was absolutely wonderful. Glad you got seen to and sorted so quickly Island (hope you don't mind us abbreviating your name, a lot of us do that on here hence LB for me! ). Rosie, I could have joined you for a fruit tea!
