lol... I tried to edit the lupin out. That area WAS a new flower bed until I took sick and had to abandon work. I was horrified y'day when I saw the jungle. I will clear it again soon... lol.. I was away FIVE DAYS! It still has all the flowers but buried in nettles that have been growing undisturbed for decades. Â
I'm glad you left the lupin in Island. My garden is 'wild' deliberately as I grow it all for the wild life. I do reduce the numbers of nettles and brambles but always leave a few alone.

Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Afternoon LB, thanks for posting the quiz sorry for not taking part I’m really rubbish at those, but enjoy seeing the others answers it makes sense to me then 😀 Hope you had a nice chat with your rellies.Â
Hello Chive. Wednesday's quiz will not be Dingbats. I had a great chat with the rellies. Mo, the dog was neutered in the week and he had a very fetching blue lampshade around his neck. It did not stop him from going bonkers when he was saying 'hello' though. He is still very cute. When he went onto the lawn and he went to pick up a stick, with the lampshade almost flat to the ground he made me think of Noo Noo the vacuum cleaner in the Teletubby series

LB - lovely image of Mo in my head now. Poor thing.
Chive - I take a quick glance at the dingbats and always think 'What the heck' and then I do the famous Roy Walker 'Say what you see'. It's amazing how many come out when you speak the picture out loud.
Island - Lovely fuchsia. We had a great holiday in the SW corner of mainland Ireland many years ago. There were fuchsias and hebes growing wild all over the place - totally unfazed by the salt-laden gales blowing in off the Atlantic.
Grrr. Weather is very frustrating ATM. Mostly sunny and breezy - a good drying day. But occasional short sharp showers (& even the odd rumble of thunder). Nowhere near enough rain to wet the soil but just enough to re-wet the oh-so-very-nearly dry clothes. They've done the Hokey Cokey three times so far this afternoon and they're staying in now.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
T'Bird, I think that the west side of the country had more than its fair share of rain over the last three days so I wasn't surprised to hear news of Cumbria. I hope that your OH and MIL have a safe journey tomorrow. I received the forms and packaging for my blood tests (following my telephone consultation in the week) so I am heading out early tomorrow to let the vampires loose on me. The medical centre opens at 07:30 so it would be good to get there then. Quick in and out.

It’s rather nice getting those sort of jobs done nice and early  LB - otherwise you can sort of feel them hanging over your head. Hate midday and early afternoon appointments - they seem to use up the whole day.
