    Superb @punkdoc 👍 🏏

    @floralies - the only people I know who like these thermic treatments are all hypochondriacs who can discourse at length on the pros and cons of different muds/seaweeds/whatever and/or happy to sit about doing embroidery or crochet all day.   Not really my thing.

    Smart looking bee house @Fairygirl but is it a beehive inside or do they have to DIY it?

    Sorry, but "exciting" and "cricket" don't belong in the same sentence.

    Thermic treatments aren't my thing either. I'm fidgety enough at the hairdresser.

    Lovely door @Yviestevie, I've been trying to persuade OH to have a porch on the door in the Norfolk cottage. We agreed that I would pay for the kitchen if he paid for the porch. Kitchen was done last year. Nice colour too. We have Farrow and Ball French Grey, looks similar.

    Evening all.

    Fremish Bonding and Thermic cures... I do like to learn a new word or fact each day but two in a minute!? It’s like QI today!

    They're ground nesting bees @Obelixx , so they normally make holes/tunnels in soil. They made little holes in the ground just next to that last year and this year, but the hoghouse was there this spring, so they must have reckoned that was easier.  It had a nice bed of hay in it which is what they've used for their colony this year. There was a good number in  it. I'll just fill this one in the same way, and hope they use that next time.
    They'd better, or I'll have to have words....
    @AuntyRach  :D
    Those cures sound like my idea of hell.

    Cricket requires a certain degree of intelligence to understand  :):)
    This game was particularly exciting.

    Hello all!

    Well, to wade into the sporting argument, I came to cricket as an adult, and am still learning the nuances 40 years on.  A fabulous sport - and I have to agree with @punkdoc and @Dovefromabove about the quality of today's play.   :)  Fortunately I can get R4 long wave, with particularly good reception in the garden, where I had a lot of weeding to do... and hubby was listening on a different radio while painting the hall, so we were both happy.  Watched the highlights this evening too.

    Love the bee hotel, @Fairygirl.  Hope it gets well used!

    I think we have a hedgehog.  :)   Found gnawed windfall apples, and poo in the vicinity which looked right according to photos on the Web.  I think I'll have to ask for a wildlife camera for C*******s so I can see who comes visiting...

    Glad you're getting your French house sorted, @Busy-Lizzie .  Such hard work, but it'll be worth it in the end - good luck with your house search too.  We sold our Yorkshire house last month, which was a relief, though we had to get a neighbour to clear it out for us and store cleaning stuff, kettle etc in her garage because we couldn't go to England and sort it ourselves.  I'm delighted to have had an email from the new owners asking some questions about the garden, which they love.
