Morning all. Sunny here, must finish clearing a space in the shrub bed for the septic tank men. Tank is surrounded by overgrown shrubs, but I've been doing a good hack back.
Daughter 2 and 3 children may turn up today. Good thing I bought extra as daughter 1 is coming tomorrow afternoon.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good morning. Wall to wall sunshine for the next week here and getting warmer. Hot and already really so probably just a bit of tinkering today following the shade round the house and no real gardening. - 44C at soil level is a bit much, even for weeds. It may stay still enough for me to spray the weeds in the drive or even burn them off.
Funnily enough I have done as Adam advised and placed my pots of shrubs on that new bed so I can mull over positions till I'm happy. I've already moved out a conifer that turns purple in winter so it's a good system.
Fingers crossed @chicky and you too @Busy-Lizzie . Let us know when they've signed the "compromis" and then all hands on deck for 3 months of sorting and clearing. It will whizz by.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Morning all/afties Pat if you're there. I haven't read back, but hope all goes well for you @Busy-Lizzie and chicklet. We seem to have a better day here today after the on/off smirry rain all day yesterday. Lots of dark clouds but fingers crossed it might not deposit them on the washing. Saw a particularly nice rowan when I was out. Berries were lovely, and bright orange. Mine are still a bit paler than that. Early, even for here. Usually beginning of August before they get going. My new clematis arrived too, so I might try and get them in. Hope everyone has a productive day, whatever the weather brings. I don't envy you that heat @Obelixx...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I was thinking of you last night when I was looking at the bottom shelf of the reduced section and a flippin' tourist ( I was behind them in the queue when they said " no , we're on holiday here") reached over my head to get something from the shelf above. " TWO METRES PLEASE" I barked at him.
The problem is, they get told they can be closer if they take other precautions [in England anyway, not here where it's still 2 metres ] but they seem to ignore that too. I heard them say on the radio earlier that despite being told they have to wear a 'face covering' on public transport, people simply don't do it, and it isn't being enforced. Might as well not bother having any guidelines when people wilfully ignore it all. No cure for stoopid eh?

Lovely day in Bournemouth.....think we might have found Chicklet a place to live 🤞🏻
fingers crossed @chicky 🤞
That all sounds very promising @Busy-Lizzie 😊
This morning started bright and sunny but I think it’s going to cloud over soon.
As I woke earlier I saw a heron fly past the bedroom window.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Drizzle here.
Fingers crossed for you @Busy-Lizzie and @chicky
