All cloth things dry, ironed and put away. Yes Topbird, so very breezy. The old oak tree is swaying away. Few bits of it on the ground too. Still lovely and sunny though and not cold. You're getting your haircut early Topbird, they don't open till the 4th July. I've still got to get some face masks, was thinking of getting some washable ones. We've had quite a few raspberries again this year. We're not so lucky with our plum tree though, every year masses come and every year before they're big or ripe enough to eat the birds peck at them. We only keep it because it's such a beautiful shape tree 😂
Haven't a clue what to have for our meal tonight, I'm not that hungry or fussed to have much.
T'Bird. I rang my hairdressers at the weekend to try to book an appointment. I got a recorded message telling me that they are prioritising the people they had to cancel at the beginning of lockdown and will be calling their clients so that includes me. I was happy with that. My Besties's daughter, who is the mobile hairdresser who does my colour only, tells me that there will be no blow drying though so we must have to go home with either a dry cut or wet hair. How does that work?
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Afternoon All, T’bird good news on your forthcoming haircut, shame about the lack of peas but at least you got to sample a couple of fresh ones so far. Lily You’ve done well, nice when you can get the cloth things put away, how about a jacket potato or something like that for tea? LB I wasn’t certain they would wash hair because of the proximity to your face, but I suppose it’s just as close when they cut. Hopefully we can get trimmed soon 🤞 Due to have a Zoom chat with the family, so I’ll sign off now and wish you all a pleasant evening. See you tomorrow.Â
Lily - haircut is after 4th July . It's a week on Tuesday - 7th July - 1.30pm - 210 hours to go - not that I'm counting or anything🤣
My hairdresser has been carefully planning her reopening for weeks and got in touch with all her customers about a month ago to detail what precautions will be in place and find out when people are able to come in. That's given her time to allocate appointments. She works from a garden studio at home and will be working very long hours the first couple of weeks to get through the bulk of clients. She'll wear a full face visor and customers will have to wear a mask. One customer at a time and salon will be wiped down between customers.
She hasn't mentioned not washing or drying hair but she is trying to prioritise those who were due a haircut at the beginning of lockdown. I imagine any treatments which take a long time (colours etc) will have to wait until she's done all the haircuts.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
I wonder how they will cut hair if you have to wear a mask T'Bird. The mind boggles. My Bestie's daughter is already fully booked up until August with all of her regulars.
Well done on the rhubarb crumble Chey - just don't eat it all at once

It’ll just be an over the ear mask I imagine LB. Not that different to somebody wearing specs. No doubt unhooked and held in place when she gets near an ear! My masks sort of go under my hair. They’ve been working with it for a few weeks in Europe & J’s got her guidelines from Germany.

Sorry LB. I haven't made an appointment for hair yet, but because of OH and shielding, I cant go anywhere yet. I'd rather go home with wet hair than have it cut dry. Mind you by the time she's cut all mine off it will probably be almost dry anyway 😂
