LB Maisie loves the frog she is so sweet. Last week she was at mine we were outside eating and a wasp was buzzing around her chicken but she wasn’t frightened at all. The wasp bit off a tiny piece of chicken and flew off with it, I explained to Maisie that the wasp was probably feeding her babies, so Maisie was tearing tiny pieces off her own chicken for the wasp and put a spoonful of ice cream on the plate too “for pudding” She named the wasp Gail
and was really fascinated by it. So many children are afraid of insects it was lovely to see.

What a lovely tale Debs. Children are so imaginative. Great name for a wasp! I like wasps too and often watch and listen to them 'eating' my shed. I have to be very careful around them though as I suffer from anaphylaxis if I get stung.

I had bananas and custard last night and I'm making an apple crumble today.

My nasturtiums have flower buds on, finally!

Well done with the crumble cooking Chey. I have a banana every morning with my cereals but apple crumble has to be one of my favourite desserts along with the rhubarb one you made the other day.

My friend went to the SM for me since I can't so I have some lovely rich custard to have with it! Only problem is I don't have a fruit peeler...

You must have a knife though Chey? Use that instead.

Only a very large meat knife  :disappointed:

Google says I can leave them unpeeled
