Morning all, still a bit delicate but much better than the last couple of days.Ā I'm hoping to get a bit of deadheading done in between showers but nothing else planned.Ā I know what you mean about tidying LB, sometimes it just leads to a chain reaction that means everywhere gets untidy.Ā Have a great Sunday everyone.
Yviestevie hoping you continue to feel better. Ā LB enjoy time with rellies. Ā Chive have a good day today. Ā Itās Lilyās tv day for me. Ā It looks quite dark out.
Yes Rosie I do feel better.Ā This latest bout has left me a bit fuzzy headed and can I just say that mixing up fixadent with anusol is not to be recommended.
Afties all. I had a lovely hour or so with the rellies. Turns out that handy brother wanted the posters landscape and not portrait grrr! I will re-do them but just wish he'd given me the full, correct instructions. A4 does not really give enough information! Mini rant over. Rosie, I was sorry to hear you had trouble getting online last night so glad to see you here now. I'm blaming you for the torrential rain - mentioning Lily's TV! Eeek Yvie!
Good news today, saw Mrs Dunnock with a beak full of wiggly things heading for the nest. We have babies!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Hello all! Dry here but very windy. Hope cooler weather lasts into the week while we are still wearing visors at work that is stressful enough without heat too.Ā
LB very much the way I tidy up it always looks a lot worse before it looks better.Ā
Afternoon All, Yvie hope you continue to feel improved, it does leave you feeling weak, Rosie nice to see you, a good drying day a strong breeze blowing,Ā LB Thanks for the quiz answers. Iām glad you had a good chat with your rellies, shame about the posters after all your effort. Excellent news about Mrs Dunnock and the new brood š¤ I finally watched the previous weeks episode of GW with the trampoline arch, how clever to use it that way. The lady Masseuse with her disability what an astonishing woman, keeps a beautiful garden and finds a way to do anything.Ā Debs the temperature is much better now it was unbearably hot, I hope the Lilac planting went well for you and your sister.Ā
Afternoon everyone šāāļøšāāļø Sunny but very breezy here, but has been great for drying the wet cloths things. Have done all the bedding, towels, clothes etc and just the last few bits to come in.Ā Thank you for the answersĀ Ā LB, I didn't read theĀ first one properly,Ā mind you OH told meĀ that one, so I can blameĀ Ā him too hehe. Glad you gotĀ Ā To see your relliesĀ and catch up. ShameĀ about the pictures though.Ā Great news about MrsĀ Kinnock and her little ones š¤š¤ Glad you're feelingĀ better Yvie, take care. Oh heck minds gone blankĀ And this has gone daft again. Time for a cup of tea .....toodle pip šāāļø
Afternoon all - what a breezy old day - the garden is taking a bit of a battering so no doubt there'll be a bit of propping up to do tomorrow.
Picked the first pea pod today - just the one. It travelled no further than the length of my arm as I devoured the peas on the spot. Delicious - love, love, love raw fresh peas. It's going to be a tiny crop (thank you pigeons and slugs) so I suspect most of them will be eaten that way.
Think I might dig out the currant bushes this autumn. I'll not have a single black currant and only about 5 red currants. One day the bushes were laden - two days later stripped bare. Fruit had not even begun to ripen. Happened last year too. I won't use netting after a blackbird was trapped inside the temporary cage 3 days running a few years ago (no harm done fortunately). Doesn't seem much point in going to the bother of pruning and watering for no harvest. Maybe I'll leave one bush for the birds - they obviously appreciate the effort!
Glad you're on the mend Yvie and good to hear you had a nice rellies visit LB. Thanks for the quiz answers.
Debs - I don't envy you having to wear a visor at work. I find wearing over-the-ear face masks quite uncomfortable after about half an hour as they rub behind my left ear. I'm glad it's not compulsory to wear them in shops etc like it is in some European countries. Will put up with wearing one a week on Tuesday though cos that's when I get a haircut. Hurrah! Can't wait! Quite a bit Ā to come off despite having a few goes myself...
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
