Thank you @Yviestevie - she was just glad to be finished! Glad you're better too. Horrible thing to have. Better take the other one to work now. Hope they get these bus routes re instated soon. There was a lovely little flock of rather wet and bedraggled coal tits at the feeders earlier. In and out the tree, waiting patiently - unlike humans
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Oh @Fairygirl 😤 give her a consoling ☕️ and 🍪 from us. If we ever come up your way again and go shopping we’ll be the really loveliest of all her customers, so tell her to watch out for us 😉

Just saw Amy - neighbour across the way, setting about Mr Amy’s hair with electric clippers out in the garden ... smaller version of Amy (about 5) bouncing about in hysterical giggles.

@Dovefromabove - as someone who was used to using clippers in a former life, I could maybe get a pair and do some designs on my bonce. Perhaps a Mohawk would suit me nowadays, with some coloured stripes in it.... I'll let her know - she'll keep some stuff aside for you I don't think it's going to dry up any better than it is just now, so I'll finish my cuppa and get the waterproofs on.

@Fairygirl if she could save me a few bags of plain and self-raising flour I might well consider the journey essential ... the car could probably do with a run out and it’s downhill all the way back 😉

I'd go via Lancashire and the Lakes with a stop off in Rutland to see Geoff H's gardens and another in Manchester to see the new RHS garden if it's open.
Plenty of flour here too just not the kilo boxes of wholemeal I like but then, no patchwork group so no weekly cakes being made, just one or two when OH's breakfast bananas get a bit too ripe for his Weetabix.
Rasta doggy is fine thanks @Fairygirl but does look a bit odd with her 3 bald patches and the silver on the big one on her shoulder. She's licked it off the other two on her forelegs.
Just went to potter down the garden and it's raining! Came back in and did a fennel seed and mixed peppercorn ru on the belly pork for tonight's dinner. Now to decide what I can do with 3 cucumbers himself harvested yesterday.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

We’ve got lots of bread flour cos we bought in bulk from a local bakery ... and it’s fine for most things, but strong flour isn’t the best for sponge cakes ... Dove’s Farm (not mine personally but ...😉) recommend using a proportion of cornflour but it looks like everyone’s cottoned in to that and there’s not always some in the shop.

Morning all. Very windy here and has rained a bit. I put washing on earlier because it was sunny then. Plenty of flour in Tesco locally here @Dovefromabove if you fancy driving a bit further south and popping round for tea in the garden. Unless they sold it all on Saturday.
Glad you were well enough to drive Moira home @punkdoc.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
So pleased DD had a successful opening after such a stressful few weeks and glad that Moira had a good day out as well.
I'm not sure what to do today as it's now raining steadily, which wasn't forecast. I do need to pot up the remaining tomato plants, should have done them last week. I've got some washing on - anybody know if I can bleach tea stains out of white Irish linen napkins, my friends on Thursday unfortunately split some tea, which I didn't notice afterwards. I have a feeling bleach turns orange on tea stains when I've tried it before. I sprayed the stains with Vanish before a gentle 30c wash so will see if that works first.

Aye - a good downhill run, with just a wee dogleg first to get across to the Edinburgh side.....
