Had an amazing rainbow yesterday evening - it ended in our garden.  Just about to go out digging for that pot of gold 🌈💰

    Good morning.
Grey, overcast, 20mph winds and a max of 15. For some it's a perfect summer's day. For me it's like October.

Well, it looks like the rain has stopped here and there's even a teeny bit of blue visible up there.   Rusty panels to erect this morning then the chicken proof wire round the lower half and then I can plant some climbers to grow up it and carry on fixing up the shed.

I was going to lift the onions today but I think I might leave them another week so they can get a good baking.   Time to put the seep hose round the dahlias which have all been appreciating the rain except the fiery orange/sunset ones that are still growing very short stalks.   Why?

Morning all/afties Pat if you're there. I haven't really looked back yet.
Sounds good fun @steephill. We didn't have to go far to get soaked yesterday. Not quite so bad today, although still wet. Hasn't really stopped since Saturday evening. I managed part of my walk in the dry though. Had to wrangle the boiler a bit when I got in -I didn't fancy a cold shower...
Lovely rainbows @chicky . Did you get some doubloons when you were out?  ;)

Not much happening here. Don't think there's any damage done from the winds, but there was a family of magpies out on a garage roof earlier. Two youngsters fighting over a bit of moss. They clearly haven't quite worked out this feeding themselves malarkey.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Morning all, Grey and dull here and still windy, not me, just the weather.  I've been busy making phone calls to mobile phone and sky and have managed to get monthly bills reduced by £35 (more to spend on plants :)
I think I'll be doing a bit more sketching today as it's a bit miserable to go in the garden, although I could do with getting a bit of deadheading done.
    Lovely rainbow @chicky

Morning all. Managed to walk down to the paper shop in the dry but it's not very inviting outside - very windy with strong gusts. Roofers a few doors down appear to have given up. I wouldn't fancy being up on a roof when the wind is as strong as this. Little Sis had a lovely time with her newish twin granddaughters last Saturday but I haven't seen any photos yet. She's had to take her OH into a hospital in Leicester for a not nice procedure this morning which is a bit worrying, both because there's a virus surge there and fear what the medics might find. Fingers crossed.

Helllo everyone. I’ve been snuggling inside a bit today. It’s freezing out there. The bloomin’ snow seems to have arrived at Thredbo and Perisher and I could have done without the breeze.

I blame all those who bleated on last week about " it's tooooooooooooo hot"
