Morning all. Ā The sun is shining intermittently. Ā LB I agree a garden is a real haven so much of interest. Ā Debs you’ve done well at the garden centre. Ā I’m sure you enjoyed it. Ā Chive I hope you slept soundly and a comfort to FaceTime mum regularly. Ā Hope she’s finding things to enjoy during the lockdown. Ā Topbird you’ll be relieved toget your tax returns out of the way and make way for other things. Ā Lily keep warm and look after yourself. Ā I’ve done the cat litter trays And my furry friend is lounging.

Morning all. Have been keeping myself busy with some little outdoor projects, all with recycled materials. Finally got round to setting up a secondhand waterbutt that mum gave me last autumn, no base for it so I made a brick plinth for it to sit on.Ā

Behind the trellis on the right of the pic is my 'new' old compost dalek (also from mum), started cooking in March. Old hooks screwed onto the outside wall of the shed for hanging tools have tidied up that corner a bit.

Replaced broken shed windows with some cloudy old perspex I got from a neighbour about 4 yrs ago, then re-jigged the trellis and tied in a clemmie to pretty it up a bit.
Have turned the swing bench/day bed into a bit of a den with the addition of a couple of gazebo curtains.

I've edged the lawn with some old decking planks (from nextdoors) and repaired and painted a bit of playhouse picket fencing I found down the back of the shed. Will fill the space behind it with all the annuals I've grown from seed.

😳 started typing this at around 9.30am, got distracted and forgot to post šŸ˜–.

Hi Hazel, your outing to the shops sounds a bit stressful. Boris just didn't make it clear, to some people its like everything is back to normal now. Dread to think what the parks and coasts are like.Ā  We're not going anywhere for ages.Ā
Your OH will be busy now he's got his canvases šŸ¤—šŸ¤—
I'm busy do nothing šŸŽ¶šŸŽµ today. The sun seems a bit warmer now, I'm off to sit in the garden with a book or two.....browsing books.....not a novel.šŸ˜‰
Was it you Rosie that did that lovely plant pot display last year. I wanted to have a go at that.....still , might be able to do it later in the year with autum plants.Ā
See you later, take care everyoneĀ

Hello Hazel and Kitty. I've been busy in the garden this morning but a grumbling stomach has brought me inside to raid the fridge! Hazel, it sounds as though you had a horrid, stressful experience. I would not have been happy either. As far as I am able I am avoiding going into town at all, especially after T'Bird's description of the spooky time she had. Oddly enough, my brother said something very similar in his last call. He is a technophobe and needed to road tax his car so he ventured into Warrington, where he lives, to the PO, and the only other place open was Boots.
Kitty, your garden looks magnifique!!! Respect to you for your recycling/upcycling. Great idea to use bricks to stand your water butt on. Haven't your raised beds come on a treat? Thats a gorgeous clematis I can see and your choisya (I think) is such a splash of sunshine in the corner. It really lights it up. Lovely! Thanks for sharing the pictures.

You snuckered in there SGL. Yes it is warm enough - out of the breeze - to sit and read for a while in the garden. Now I must go raid the fridge as I mentioned above.

Kitty how lovely to see you .I can see that you have been very busy . Your garden look very fresh and neat . I love it . Lily I feel the same as you . I will not be going out unless it is essential . People locally ,on the whole are not being careful . Enough health issues at home.

Ooh err Kitty, you weren't there just now. Good idea with the swing seat. Is it a complete gazebo covering, looks like there's a top piece attached to the sides....or did you see them together?Ā
Rubee, don't blame you either, OH has enough to cope without catching anything else. Some people are just being selfish or very stupid.....or bothšŸ™„

Hi LB and thanks. I think the "choisya" bright yellow blob in the corner? is the euonymus, bought years ago unnamed but could be that emerald n gold one.
The clem is Rebecca, looking better than ever in her 3rd year.

Sooo... Hazel is that you with a new name?Ā  šŸŽ¼šŸ¦
I love Songbird by Fleetwood Mac.Ā

........... long pause to help T2 with her radish seedlings and empty the wash-mash.
Mind gone blank... Better hit post before i forget to do that again. 😵

Afternoon everyone, it’s tuned into a beautiful day if you can find a sheltered sunny spot,
Hazel that outing this morning sounded awful, it’s off putting when you experience something like that. Hope you and OH have a better afternoon painting & knitting,Ā
Kitty your garden is so pretty, I love the way you’ve put things to good use and the swing bed looks so inviting. Did you have a wonky pot tower or am i confusing someone’s else’s garden? Gorgeous clematis lovely colour.
Rosie I had a goodnight thank you I hope you are sleeping better now too, Mum is keeping well and does enjoys a chat,Ā
Rubee I hope you can stay online what a nuisance when it’s starts messing about,
Lily hope you are enjoying a leisurely afternoon with some light reading material, I like to flick through a magazine,Ā
LB hope you’ve rustled up something tasty and fed that grumbling tummy, have you heard from Chey I hope he is getting better,Ā

Hi Lily. The canopy (roof bit) is the original one for the swing seat, I've simply attached two gazebo side panels to the top of the frame with zip ties through the eyelets. One on front and one on the back.
They have a central zip so i can tie them back like in the pic, roll them up fully open or close them up completely and hide inside 😁.

Hi Ruby, good to see you too. Not going out is my new favourite thing.

Hope everyone on the forum is keeping well and stress free. Busy gardening and staying happy.
