Rubee oh my goodness what a disaster, it must have come out with such force. Have a nice hot drink to warm yourself up hopefully it’ll dry out soon enough.

I was glad to hear that the cats were well away from the flood Ruby. Its interesting that cats have an inherent fear of snakes so anything snakelike is bound to cause them concern. I remember that one of my previous cats came across one of my belts which I had dropped on the living room floor and he freaked out. Eventually he calmed down as I spoke to reassure him and show him that the belt was inanimate. He still had to give it a few smacks with his paw to make sure.

I agree LB some people use toy snakes to keep cats off flowerbeds apparently.
Hope everyone has a good day planned? Fiancé is finishing off decorating bathroom and I need to have a good clear up and clean, sorry Col TT. Not my idea of fun but needs must.

Good Morning LB, Debs & all to follow,
LB Cats do have their own funny ways of dealing with anything unusual,
Debs it will be nice to have the bathroom all finished, hope there is an opportunity to get outside afterwards.

Good  morning everyone . I hope that you all have a pleasant day .Lily , I don’t think, the carpet is ruined . So glad it’s summer . If it was winter i think it would be a different story . We have the heating on . The hose suddenly split and the split was at least four feet . I really can’t understand it ,the hose was the newer of the two we have.Never had that happen before .

LB ,the cats came down to look at the damage but as soon as their paws were wet they retired on to the landing .

Morning Debs, Chive and Ruby. You'll be glad to get your bathroom finished Debs but I think the kitchen will be on hold at the moment until this present situation is over. Ruby, I'm pleased that the hose mishap happened as we are due to have much warmer weather this week. The cats will be talking amongst themselves about, 'What ARE they up to now?!'
Lily is fed and watered, both bird baths are cleaned and refilled, robin's breakfast of mealworms is in the dish on the patio table. I've got another cuppa on the go and all is well with the world.
