Got there in the end Lily. Had to grab it in a screenshot. Hope seeing the angles helps.

    Need a brew now ☕😅

Hi Yvie & Chive. You snuckered in as I was cloud wrangling. 😁

Yes Lily, the pipe is pushed into the ground straight up through the drainage hole in the centre of the bottom pot which sits flat on the ground. Doubt if I bothered to measure it... I'd guess it was approx 4ft maybe?
Online I saw people using rebar, broomhandles and even bamboo canes (not sure I'd trust the bamboo to hold the weight myself). Lots were made with different pots too, plastic, metal buckets etc...

Thank you Kitty, that really is so kind. Please enjoy your cup of tea now, sorry.
No, I wouldn't trust a bamboo cane either, would snap from the weight or rot after awhile. Goodness, a broom handle, would have to be large holes in the pot 😉
Will have a look in the garage, bet there's some piping there somewhere 🤣

Had a walk it did help feeling a bit more refreshed now, plus I went via the post office again and bought a tray of trailing red Lobelia and Pink Surfina a Bacopa Snowflake for mum so I can pot up her hanging basket next time I go.
As for the bee house look who’s turned up for work today,

Afties all. Sorry SGL, I was definitely away with the fairies yesterday, not so sure I'm all that better today! I have given the fish tank a good sort out and used the water I siphoned off (12 gallons in old money) on plants in the garden. I have also done things that Col TT would have me shot at dawn for! Had some lunch and now I'm pooped. I'll post today's quiz about 16:00 ish
Those pots are magic Kitty. I've heard from Chey and he thanks all of you for all your good wishes. He is feeling a little better and is looking forward to the Eurovision programme tonight.
Chive, your bees are not leaf cutter bees but are mason bees. These are very gentle, non-stingers and excellent pollinators. You are lucky to have them.
Wow SGL, what a pop of colour that rhododendron is - its beautiful!

Chive a great picture of the beehive with a busy bee even one of the tiny ones has a resident, soon.  Lily your rhododendron is a glorious colour looking so healthy.  LB it will be good for Chey to know we’re wishing him well.  Have you eaten ol TT :)?

Tee hee Rosie, I think I would have chronic indigestion if I tried that! I meant to say Chive that you got a nice collection of hanging basket plants at your PO
