@Obelixx - as in England there is no clarity... it seems if you want to travel abroad and are willing to take the risk, nobody can actually stop you. But OH is in the "very high risk" category so he's not going anywhere for a long time. I'm just "high risk"... it would clearly be stupid to travel by public transport just because some people think it's ok. I'm not even going out shopping yet as our local support group arranges deliveries of food, prescriptions etc. Hey ho.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Funny how families are all different. Always loved spending time with my Mum - we always laughed lots. Really missing my sisters now - looking forward to meeting up with them for a socially distanced walk and picnic on Tuesday. Go on a mini- break with them once a year and normally meet up at least once every couple of months. Hope my two remain good friends, and that visiting me is something they do coz they want to, not because they feel they should.
Just been out watching rockets 🚀 . Saw it gliding past ....amazing 😀😀😀
For the first time in my life I am `vulnerable' although I don`t feel it. Hubby and I are in that class and have`nt been out since 27th Feb due to feeling a little anxious about catching virus. The day before, we went to the beach, in unseasonally warm weather and are we glad we did. At this stage, although suffering cabin fever somewhat at least we are still alive and kicking. A very sad, stressful time for so many. Hazardous, life threatening jobs being carried out by nhs, drivers, posties, shop assistants and many other essential workers....all deserving of a medal. Our local Sainsbury and Iceland have offered a slot to us every week and although we still cannot have full order delivered, beyond their control, we salute them and ebay, amazon etc. We will certainly look back on this year as `unusual'
I've been to Kennedy Space Centre a couple of times and have watched a rocket launch from a distance at Daytona Beach. As a fully paid up science nerd it was amazing!
Loving the rocket launch 🚀 As Prof Brian Cox would say: “amazing”.
he's not the only one who overuses that word. Jamie Oliver, Zoe Ball, EVERYONE on Springwatch to name but a few. Morning all. Watering before I go to work. Sprinkler going whilst I'm waiting for kettle to boil then I'll take my tea out and water the Agapanthus pots on terrace. ( about 80 pots )
Morning @Hostafan1 - I'm just about to go out after a cuppa. Hope you don't encounter too many idiots today. How are the Agapanthus looking?
Agapanthus are well in bud now. I always associate alliums with Chelsea and Agapanthus with Hampton Court. Chelsea would have been a couple of weeks ago and virtually all my alliums have passed over now, and HC is usually mid July and mine are way ahead of usual.
I was thinking of you yesterday @Fairygirl when someone told me her daughter had been up since 5 to drive from Cornwall to Leicester to collect a cat !!!!!
