Second try. hi Dove and everyone else. Cold sunny day here again. I’d make short work of that bread and lettuce meal Dove. We’re off to town for a food shop.

Shopping done. Now I’ve got a large pot of meaty beef bones on with lentils etc, herbs and bay leaves. Should be very comforting this even8ng. 😋

    Good morning all 😃 ☕️
@Pat E that soup sounds good 😋  I was sound asleep when you popped in earlier 😴

We’ve got a sunny morning and an overcast afternoon forecast, with temps in the low twenties ... it’s overcast and 12C st the moment ... but getting brighter ...,

It’s smells rather nice in here with the soup bubbling away. I checked the garden and the Lovage has had it for the season, the Italian parsley is still manfully sending up fresh stems, and the oregano is turning purple instead of staying green but is still edible. 👏 There is a bit of cloud to the north, so fingers crossed, we might get a dribble.

    Morning all/afties Pat  :)
I'll waft you over some rain.....
    @Hostafan1 - I can't picture you pulling anyone out of a 'dyke'  :D
I assume you meant 'shouldn't be here' too  ;)
    Stoopid people. Them, not you...
I could do with some soup. Might see what I have to hand. Lettuce only just germinating here. I think some is well past it's sell by date though and may not appear at all.
That bread would go well with it too @Dovefromabove . Hope the neck is still improving.
    I haven't seen @Busy-Lizzie recently. Have I missed something?
    Hope @Obelixx is ok too.
Made me laugh @Liriodendron, with your bejaysus  - you'll be up for a part in Father Ted if it ever came back.
Rain's off for now, so I'll take fairylet to work and get out before it comes back on.
Catch you all later. Stay safe
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Morning all.
Another overcast day it seems. Still no rain.
@Fairygirl, you're right: I try to avoid dykes, they can be tricky things.

I think I might arrange the agapanthus on the terrace, give them some slow release fertiliser and top them with some grit

    Oh that was good.

The borlotti beans and pear barley helped enormously.  I’m full now.
