I’ve had a quick look back and it looks like all is good in Forkerland 😎
my neck is still much better as long as I don’t do the things that annoy it ... getting stuff out of low cupboards is one thing .. noodling on here with you lot for more than a few minutes is another ... but as long as I’m responsive to the twinges and stop doing what’s causing them immediately the pain stops too. I must learn to stop trying to ‘push on through the pain’ 🙄
Anyway, OH has reached and lifted and carried and I’ve made my first sourdough loaf with the 40 year old sourdough starter that arrived here last week from the Lake District ... reading about making sourdough makes it all seem quite technical with references to hydration percentages and such ... but I went with a River Cottage basic recipe to start with and it seems fine ... although more long winded than when using bakers yeast.

The first loaf is cooling ... bread and cheese for supper?

For some reason I can’t get the photos to go where I want them ... they’re a bit random 🙄

So have I, and I'm not even a dog lover!

Thought the programme was a bit more interesting than usual.

Evening. Bit late finishing work today and the evening has flown by. Hope all are ok.
Might watch Beechgrove in bed now and keep GW for tomorrow. It’s 50:50 whether I’ll still be awake by the end of the programme though. Night all.

Cor, Dove, I will be round with the beer, pickled onions, apples and grapes, I have never made sour dough, normally I only eat nutty, seedy, wholemeal bread, Hubby likes the white sliced stuff!!!  I do also like soda bread, how do you manage with your neck?  Watching GW last night, was I the only one who had a tennis ball lump in my throat.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
is @Pat E about ...? Hope she’s ok. I thought of her at 4am when I was sitting in the garden for half an hour listening to the dawn chorus. Amazing.

For the past few mornings we’ve been watching the antics of a pair of woodpigeons and their youngster ... every morning they spend some time on the flat roof opposite ... recently they’ve been joined by their teenager who flaps around begging to be fed ... I can confirm that woodies are not indulgent parents 😆

Morning. Back from the SM and in-law shopping drop-off. Treating myself to a coffee and Portuguese Custard Tart now 😋

The day is brightening and warming up now. Have a good day all.
