‘Cos it’s warmer outside and I’m a fair weather gardener 😂 but mine are even further ahead than MDs ... should I do it in the autumn?  Mine are the hardy ones.Â

Morning all/afties Pat if you're there. I don't watch G's World either any more. I'm not really enjoying Beechgrove either. Oh well, as Mr Green once said..... @punkdoc - I was just telling someone that one of the high heid yins at L. Lomond had to make an announcement the other day that 'it is closed' because there's still been folk appearing there in the last few weeks, despite all the coverage. Folk are dumb Gairloch will still be there, and just as beautiful as ever, when you get a chance to go back.  I've never understood the agapanthus thing either. If they only flower well when pot bound, how come you can grow them in a border? I had one donkey's years ago, when I knew very little about them. Didn't survive. Probably one of the types that need over winter protection though. I may consider another, although I really don't have anywhere to put one. Another nothing-y sort of day here. It rained on and off all day yesterday, so I didn't get my hedge cut. Could do with a trim before the rain comes in later. Better check the battery....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Morning all, Haven't watched GW yet Hubby is putting together the last 2 garden chairs. Phoned up about the table it's being despatched from a different warehouse and hasn't been picked up by parcel force yet should be with us soon. Will be planting more fillers in the borders and edging the front lawn today, not sure what else I'll be up to. Need to trim all the cones and balls but don't think my hands are up to it even though I have a little cordless trimmer.
Hi all, yes all’s well here Dove, thanks. I’ve discovered a paint by numbers on my iPad and that’s been totally taking over my enthusiasm for everything else. Great fun. I’ll probably end up with a crook neck. 🤫
I did get yesterday’s washing off the line and while I was out there, decided to do a bit more digging in the bed I’ve been gradually cleaning up. The soil is SO hard. I wish we could get some rain to soak into it.  I’m reluctant to ask Hubby to help. He dropped a very heavy bag or something on his big toe two days ago and it’s now about five time it’s normal size. I strapped it up and gave him a sandal type thing I was given when I fractured one of my metatarsals many years ago.  It seems a bit better today, but I’m making him keep off it.Â

I think it's best to do it when it suits the plant, and not when it suits the gardener, if possible.
I am in bed now, no, only joking, thats what comes of retiring after 25 years of working nights, I have a weird sleep cycle! I went to the loo at 2am nervously checked the digital thermometer in the conservatory, although we had put all the hanging baskets, pots of baby dahlias, etc etc away. I know it get light at 4am, I did then eventually go back to sleep and got up late for me, I think it was gone 7, normaly puttering round the estate by 6, check to see if the fish are awake ready for their breakfast.Everywhere we have lived we have had them in the garden, always in threes. Sitting in the conservatory with my first cuppa, a blackbird bashed on the door, near the handle, was thinking why is the daft thing flying that low, there is actually a big azalea in a pot right next to it, was worried, the husband or wifey blackbird was sitting on the edge of our pond patiently waiting, (bless) Hubby says, its fine only stunned, and yes after a couple of minutes off they went.
