Evening all. Crappy day. Heard this morning that one of my Fave customers died suddenly this week. Knocked me for six. I had to disappear into the loo and blub uncontrollably . Glad to be home
What a bummer @Dovefromabove - maybe I was right about the hot tub.... Hopefully the toms will all be enjoyed. Our GCs have only just opened and I know there was queues as soon as they opened. The compost is near the back of the one I would go to, but knowing my luck, they won't have any when I go! I can't do crowds at the best of times, so I'll just have to wait. I'm more concerned about getting stuff for the new clematis. Oh well... I went out and did a bit of pottering and watering. Ooh - that rhymed, and now I'm re watching the lovely prog Ewan McGregor voiced about the Highlands a few years ago, and having a cuppa and some toast. Can't be bothered with any dinner.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Sad for you, @Hostafan1. No shame in having a blub - hope W******e know how lucky they are to have a driver who cares about his customers.
Too hot here in Ireland as well, @Fairygirl. Only just finished the watering... bread and cheese for tea. Still got most of my dumpy bag of compost to shift but it'll have to get cooler first.
Hubby has the bit between his teeth with the decorating. Having said he didn't mind it taking as long as it took, he's now trying to persuade me to stop gardening and help him... actually, I did a bit of preparation in the hottest part of the day cos it was cooler in than out... but otherwise, not a chance!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Evening all. I missed the nice warm day as I was in work, but it was a worthwhile day so I don’t mind. Nothing wrong with having a soft-centre @hostafan1.
I love the sound of a Forkers party - count me in! I’ll make fancy cocktails with herb and flower garnishes - my speciality.
So so sad @Hostafan1 , especially brutal when unexpected. Hugs for you 🤗
There’s a wildfire raging on one of our local commons - one of our favourite places to walk - very beautiful. It’s been burning since yesterday morning. Just found out that a disposable barbecue was the source. Words fail me 😢
@chicky - they reckon that one in Dorset was the same. We have warnings up here about them, but I know it'll happen. We've already had some - all that heather burns like a b*tch. I don't understand the mentality of these people.

Thanks @chicky, local GCs had nothing and I am down to my last bag. I got some in when @punkdoc was warning us lockdown was imminent. That and a run to Majestic was all the panic buying I did - priorities sorted or what? My first long trip out will be tomorrow when we have to take OH's aged Italian mother to Frimley Park A&E to sort out a possible thrombosis. She will be 90 next week and doesn't really understand the concept of social distancing. She has been shopping almost every day since the beginning including markets where she says nobody was bothered about the rules. Is there a smack forehead emoji?
@Fairygirl ... they put in plans for an extension last year, then she said they weren’t sure whether to extend or move ... so they’re either making room for the extension or to smarten up and put it on the market.
Night night all 🛏 💤 🐑
