    Morning all/afties Aussies  :)
Interesting @Allotment Boy, re that report. I suppose they have an idea of what people on allotments are like - all muddling in together and having frequent cups of tea and discussing the rate of germination of their peas  etc.  ;)
I suppose also, that it's well intended.
Cool but bright here. Took daughter to work. Glad I don't still have to take the other one, or I'd have been late last night then up sharp this morning. Why can't they work in the same place, at the same times.....
@raisingirl- Rikki Fulton was/is something of an institution up here, deservedly so. I might see if I can find one of the ads to let the girls see. I used to listen regularly  to ISIHAC when I was younger. A lovely man apparently, as well as brilliantly funny. Last night I sat and watched [again] the documentary about Morecambe and Wise. They were just great. 'he'll not sell much ice cream going at that speed'. Makes me laugh every time  :D
Perfectly normal @D0rdogne_Damsel, checking on Charlie. I now worry about youngest driving instead of the stuff they both did when they're little.  :)
    Cockerel....b***er.... :D

I've just been outdoors, it's flippin' freezin' out there. Biting cold wind.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
and Hi to the growing Aussie contingent 🙃

Hugs to all in these difficult times. 🤗

Overcast with a chilly wind ... we had some rain overnight which will be good for the seedbeds and the Undergardener’s over seeded lawn ... but we need it to warm up a big or I’ll have to turn the heating back on.

Temperature has plunged here too. No more sitting around outside today .....time to get some grafting done 😅.  Still got blue skies and sunshine though.

Sorry to hear about your Mum’s experience @punkdoc.  My Dad’s recent brushes with the NHS have been similar.....exemplary care and miracles performed whilst in hospital......shambolic (and pretty heartless) on discharge.  I think Dove is right.....its the interface and inadequacy of the next steps beyond hospital that are the failing.  Hope you find a way forward that works for your Mum.  And great to hear MIL is improving too.

My Auriculas are all showing flower buds.  Mr C made me an amazing auricula theatre as my surprise Christmas present 🎁.  Need to see if we can source some paint somewhere to finish it off (too cold to paint outside in December, and since then other things have rather got in the way 🥺)

And my “Penny’s Primulas” bought from @Hostafan1 ’s friend at Chelsea are also starting to look rather lovely 😊

    Morning all.

Glad the camping was a success and Charlie enjoyed it @DOrdogne_Damsel

Cloudy and windy here too but dry, doesn't look as though there was rain in the night. Our heating is on, it's on a timer so it comes on for a few hours in the morning, means the bathroom is warm when we get up.

Seems a good day to paint another wall in the guest room.

I think I'll be seeking sanctuary in the tunnel and get my tomatoes and sweet peas sown.

Are you heating the lawn then @Dovefromabove;)
That does seem to be the problem @chicky. The bit between leaving hospital, and getting care at home. How often do we hear about elderly people being returned to their home alone in the middle of the night.  :/
Your theatre will be lovely. Look forward to seeing it all painted up and filled.  :)
Cloudy here now, and still only 5 degrees, but I'll put the washing out and hope it gets long enough to do some good.

Morning all. Where has the warm weather gone??

After a slog in work yesterday, I may stay in PJs today. We had some massive hampers of chocolates and Easter eggs delivered to work, from a SM, which was greatly appreciated by all. I will be appreciating my Maltesers Egg later - I might even make a cake and decorate with my egg.

Hooe you are all well. Have a good day, whatever you are up too.

Good morning everyone.  Grey and cool here too but not as damp as we'd have liked.   Feeling weary today after digging out more than a wheelbarrowful of stones to make space to plant just one small acer in my planned new Japanese maple bed.   4 more to plant!   OH will have to help as some stones are rather large.

Need to go and rebuild a bamboo trellis structure for my clematis at the other end of that wall since we can't get the builders' mesh and posts I wanted for this spring and then just gentle pottering indoors or out.

Love your primula @chicky and the idea of an auricula theatre but I don't think they'd like it here.   Good for Charlie @D0rdogne_Damsel but good job you don't have to be up and on parade all day today!

Enjoy you chocolates and flowers and seeds popping everyone.   Have a safe day.
