Morning all.Ā  We're just back from our morning walk and called into the pharmacy for some more Voltarol. We also wanted to get to get some turmeric tablets as OH is having a lot of trouble with his knee. Unfortunately they don't stock them so will have to go online. Can anybody recommend a good brand please?Ā

šŸ‘ OH only got 27 on that one @Fairygirl ... but he got 33 yesterday. I got 18 and 6 today ... I’m rubbish. I know the music of 80s and 90s but not the names. 60/70s I do a lot better šŸ˜ŽĀ

I had a lucky guess on the year @Dovefromabove, which helped. Got all the bonuses too.
    15 on the 2nd roundĀ  :/
60s and 70s for me too, although I can sometimes make a half decent stab at stuff in the 80s and 90s, and even present day stuff, if I can remember the names..... :D
No idea on the turmeric @Lizzie27. I didn't find they made any difference.Ā
No plans for me @GWRS - just doing what I'm doingĀ  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

He was one year out @Fairygirl šŸ™„Ā

@Yviestevie, @WonkyWomble uses turmeric and finds it helps, but isn’t using it at the moment as it’s thought anti-inflam stuff may cause a problem if we get Covid and shes not taking any risks.Ā

It has helped me but it has to contain bioprene (active ingredient form black pepper) to help the body absorb it.Ā  Hemp oil helps apparently.Ā  An old gardening friend recommends it as working better for her than turmeric.Ā  Ā I'm about to order some.

Other supplements to try are chondroitin and glucosamine sulphate.

@Lizzie27 I have tried turmeric,Ā chondroitin and glucosamine sulphate for nearly a year, so did OH but it didn't make any difference apart from the lightness of my wallet! NDN uses Voltarol extra strong cream prescribed by her doctor and she said it works for her knee.

Lovely and warm, T shirt weather. I've covered the hideous concrete rectangle that house the septic tank with fake grassĀ
:o looks better but not quite enough fake grass in the roll. I've painted a garden wall cream, was already cream but grubby.Ā

We’ve been busy out there too ... I’ve done mainly weeding as I’m trying to rest my left shoulder ... it’s still pretty painful. OH has mulched the sunny bed (after Id weeded and spread some FB&B and he’d helped me move a few perennials about and given everything a good soaking by putting the sprinkler on while we had lunch).Ā

ThenĀ he started sorting out the sunny corner and the area next to it that suffered when the fence blew down.Ā
We’re thinking there may be room for a shrub rose 🤩

While he was doing that I made a flamiche aux poireaux ;) Ā (leekĀ and bacon quiche) for supper ... I’m also making homemade oven chips to go with it ... I think a glass of something chilled and white might be called for šŸ· (not red tho Ā ... got some sauv blanc in the fridge that’s calling me)..

Second glass in here Dove and been in shorts all day! Nipped out sweet peas, potted on lots of seedings and in the middle of making a couple of quiche. Salmon, asparagus and courgette and a mushroom and onion for hubby. Might sit down after that.... where did I ever find the time to work full time????? Also I've done a sm shop for elderly gardening customers to deliver tomorrow. Have a lovely evening folksĀ  B)

OH has been mowing or strimming grass all day and I have been pottering about, doing admin, painting in Possum's room - headboard and new skirtings and doors.Ā  Ā Then I made a mask - 2 layers of fine woven cotton with a middle layer of fine cotton jersey.Ā  prototype.Ā  It seems that when they do relax the lockdown we'll be required to wear masks to protect others more than ourselves and stop the virus going manic again.

Watered all my pots, set the sprinkler on the rose garden for easier weeding tomorrow and now I'm off to make another mask for me to wear tomorrow when I do the weekly shop.Ā  Ā Should I make it to match what I might wear???Ā  Ā Going to need a whole wardrobe of them as they need a hot wash after just a couple of hours' use!

Prawn and tomato gratin with oaty crumble for us tonight and some red wine cos I'll probably put chilli in too.

Well done on the wall painting @Busy-Lizzie.Ā  I'm having to tell myself not to embark on painting the donkey shed/hen house.Ā  Our vet is keen on homeopathy and takes all of the above plus "reine des prĆØs" and blackcurrant leaf extract for his arthritis......

Well done @Fairygirl too.Ā  Ā I'm hopeless on the 80s and 90 and later.Ā  The 60s was a golden decade but it all started going downhill in the 70s.Ā  Ā Over here they don't seem to announce the artist very often and most of it isn't memorable now anyway.Ā  I do often wonder what Lewis Capaldi songs would sound like performed by someone who can actually sing rather than screech.
