Morning all another bright sunny day.  Hubby has various clippers, I changed hairdressers last year, got fed up with "mine" not listening!  Found avery nice lady who has a proper salon in her home, and only about 10 minutes walk. We also got on very well, I think you have to "gel".I had to wait nearly 2 months for an appointment, she is so popular, doesnt work every day, then came the lockdown, mam now going to have to cut myfridge for the third time myself. Hubby has fancy electric and re-chargeable clippers.

I might also cut my fringe, as well as cutting the fridge!!
  • Good Afternoon all. @DOrdogne_Damsel I'm so glad you had what you wanted for Charlie's birth.  With 3 pregnancies I found  huge discrepancies amongst the attitudes of birth attendants, be they doctors, nurses or midwives.  Some were so lovely and supportive, while others seemed to relish in their power by being, at the least, bossy and unkind.
On  hot summer nights here in Australia, as a child, my father would move the black and white box tv onto our front verandah and we would fall asleep watching the stars on rugs on the lawn.  Nice memories🤗

Morning all/afties to the Aussies  ;)

Cloudy and murky here after what turned out to be a lovely day yesterday. Not as high temps as many of you, but I'm thankful for that - 16 degrees, some sun and no wind is lovely! Frosts for tonight, and wind.
That woodie of mine doesn't need any grass seed @Dovefromabove - not with the amount of bird food he gets through. Maybe grass seed would be cheaper  ;)
I collected daughter from work last night, as the buses are now totally unreliable. They get given Easter eggs, so she kept the choc bars, and gave me the egg. She also got me compost. Not sure which one was more welcome ...
Might get the grass cut. The warmth and wet has got it growing. The rain last night came to nothing so it should be dry enough today.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Morning all, afternoon Aussies - perfect greeting Fairy!
Oh I think I'd have been happy with both compost and chocolate.... and some horse manure if any one has any please!
    Another lovely day here  B)
Step womble has just sent me an email with pictures of their courtyard garden in Brighton. She's got the gardening bug and has taken after me with her passion for ornamental greases! She's still working teaching excluded kids that are high risk so she's very glad to have somewhere outside to wind down at the moment.
I've taken some cuttings of my favourite climbing rose, etoile de Holland; for one of her walls.  Mine are about to bloom and I can't wait.
Happy Easter to everyone, take good care, keep safe x

Clever @punkdoc but not exactly brimming with optimism!

G'day everyone.   Lovely and sunny here and loads of birdsong which I can't identify.   Looks like we have magpies trying to nest in the top of the lone poplar.  That'll be a bit precarious in the wind.   Gardening today then.  Lots to do.

We have compost thanks to early purchases as well as garden compost for mulching and chocolate too.  I treated OH to an egg full of Ferrero Rocher crunchy hazelnut thingies and a box of Lindt eggs.

Well done Fairylet for getting both - essential at Easter @Fairygirl.   Hope you and Charlie enjoyed the sleepout @D0rdogne_Damsel.   Hope it stays dry for you.  We had downpours forecast from 5am tomorrow but they have changed to a dribble at 2am.
