Probably.Ā  He's a looking a bit sheepish and glum and is even sat by the fence watching next door's greyhound/retriever cross without saying a word.Ā  Normally it involves lots of excited bouncing and barking.

I like bread that is nutty, seedy, etc, got myself a seedy loaf, tiny and very expensive |Tesco Finest, its horrible, tastes sweet, Its in the freezer) so is just about OK for toast and marmalade.I got myself another loaf in there Oat and Barley Farmhouse, now, you are talking! Made myself a sandwich cheese, tomato, cucumber, crisps, and the apple, couldnt eat the other half of the round. Went indoors, Hubby sitting right next to my sarnie, was going to put it in a bag for the next day.Ā  Luna our border collie had a different idea!!!I wonder if the hot cross bun dough will "prove" inside the dog, haha

    Oh dear @Obelixx, I hope he's OK.

I've been pottering about doing various little jobs, like mulching a rose, putting the wrought iron gate in place and emptying bins.
We had baked beans on toast for lunch, in the garden.

I started to watch "The Greatest Story Ever Told" on TV but it's so slow, gloomy and inaccurate that I gave up.

Now I'm going for my exercise walk. Shame that OH can't come with me, such a lovely day.
@Dovefromabove the BBC are announcing thundery showers for tomorrow afternoon.

    Well ! that was a bit nerve-wracking!Ā
Hubby and I have just cut each other's hair.Ā
I have to say, fairly pleased with the results.

I always cut OHs hair ( he owes me a fortune ...(he used to go to Toni & Guy! šŸ’°). He hasn’t cut mine ... yet ... but the time is coming when something will have to be done ...

I like to have mine done every 2 weeks in summer. Our hairdresser was passing and left a pair of clippers on the door step. Bless'er.

Bonzo is perking up thanks @Busy-Lizzie but I've had to down tools cos my flipping knee is really sore.Ā  Must have twisted it or something yesterday.

2nd batch of hot cross buns much more like it and will be even better toasted tomorrow.Ā  Bonzo has had none and shown no interest either.

I do OH's beard and my fringe but have yet to tackle his hair.Ā  Ā Mine gets a trim once a
year and is good for another 7 or 8 months but OH is getting a bit shaggy looking.Ā  Rasta was due a hairdo on Tuesday so is starting to look a bit woolly bear-like.Ā  Ā Haven't any clippers to tackle her either.

More hot sunny stuff tomorrow so I hope the knee will improve as I have holes to dig for roses and Japanese maples.Ā  Bit of stormy stuff expected early Monday which help them settle in.Ā  Ā If not I have more seeds to sow and babies to nurture.Ā  The fennel, spring onions, leeks and Bishop's Children I sowed the other day are popping.Ā  Ā So exciting.Ā  No chilies yet but I also have baby toms.

  • Morning all,Ā  :)

Beautiful here again, I have had to be on watering duty every evening now for a few days, lovely to see little plants coming to life with a flourish. I do hope we don't get a surprise frost.Ā  :open_mouth:

I made Hot cross buns but they ended up a little bit over-done, the recipe said 20 minuted but by 15 they were certainly ready, tasted good anyway, lots of butter on to disguise the charcoal flavour, Charlie didn't complain.Ā  Ā  :)

I was 43 when I had Charlie and in the birthing plan had decided I wanted a water birth having read all about them. The midwife was very skeptical seeing as I was so 'old' and also a first time mother - there was only one birthing pool too so she had said if I got there and someone else was in it there was no chance. I was so relieved when we finally arrived and it was available - I had to dig my heels in to get it but I did - afterwards (4 hours, no drugs, no problems) the delivery nurse said it was a textbook birth and wished they were all like that! I so wanted to say I told you so to the skeptical midwife! I do appreciate how lucky I was though and was never brave enough to try a second time.Ā  Ā

Back in the garden today, I think I may well be here until at least May according to newspaper reports....

Happy Easter to all, we'll certainly have time to have a quiet reflective Easter, all those of us that are sensible enough to stay home. I did read, and it may well be fake news, that there were tanks near some beaches in Suffolk ready to deter would be weekend visitors - I so hope it's true!Ā  :)

Just a couple of pics of little hopeful plants popping up....
