Morning all, I went out and clapped last night, I was the only one at our end of the street but thinking about it I can see why. The houses opposite are owned by elderly people, I have a care home to the right and sheltered housing to the left. I could hear clapping and shouting further down the road but I did feel a bit of a twit standing there on my own. Hubby was clapping in the bath.
Aching a lot after yesterday. Moving the rhododendron has took its toll. I'm going to prick out some seedlings, not sure what else I will be up to. Nothing too strenuous. Have a good day everyone.
Back feels robust this morning, so its out to the garden for me. Missed the boat on sweet pea sowing this year, so have decided to order some seedlings. Will be nice to have flowers for the house come June. So I need to get their patch in order ready to receive the seedlings.
Clapping here last night - we’re remote but sound carries a long way, so know we were not alone.
Good morning. It's a lovely sunny day and OH is out in the garden. I have been up half the night with a tummy bug so am staying close to a loo. Bloody marvellous!
Do you not think any sweet peas you sowed now would catch up quickly @chicky?
Hope you get some time off to recuperate @Aunty Rach and anyone else who's been on the front line in whatever capacity.
Enjoy your downtime @D0rdogne Damsel. It will give you time to think and make adjustments to plans and menus ready for the re-opening.
Sorry, brain fogging over so hello and good health to all Forkers and their loved ones.

@chicky - I often don't sow sweet peas until mid to late April. They usually catch up with anything sown earlier here, so if you have seeds, just do them. I just got some yesterday that I'd ordered Glad your back is ok today. @Obelixx - tummy Couldn't it have waited until you had a rubbish day weather wise too? @Yviestevie - hubby clapping in the bath. Did you film it to show the grandchildren? Take it easy today. Not sure I'll be doing much outdoors either. At least the winds have died down. Just normal wind today

I'm still waiting for my sweet pea (and other) seeds to arrive ... Chilterns currently taking about 14 days to dispatch so mine should be here any day now.

..... maybe I will try seeds after all 😀 (edited to say seed order now placed with Eagle Sweet Peas .....will be able to use my loo roll innards collection after all 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻)
Sorry to hear you’re sick @Obelixx ......deep sympathies from me having suffered from the same a few weeks ago. No fun ☹️
I'd just mention that a couple of people I know who've definitely had Covid 19 (not tested but symptoms agreed by GP) said it started with a 'tummy bug' ... not wanting to alarm folks, but best to be prepared 🤒

I did wonder @Dovefromabove but the incubation period is all wrong and I do get tummy bugs at the drop of a hat. I shall keep an eye on it and not worry as I'm otherwise very healthy - apart from mechanical failures like the knee.

'loo roll innards' - that has a slightly dodgy connotation @chicky especially the way @Obelixx is feeling
@Dovefromabove - I ordered from a place called Johnson's Sweet Peas. Beautifully packaged [completely plastic free package] and came very rapidly. Small packets [about 10] but they still work out about the same price
