I am so grateful for the NHS hour in the SM. The other shoppers were queuing in the rain by the time I had finished at 8. MIL so pleased with her delivery. She is having an awful time caring for her husband with no help currently. I feel so useless to her at the moment - she really needs a hug and some time off but I can’t do either for her just now.
Well the garden has had a thorough watering courtesy of the rain clouds. I can see my Rhododendrons are about to bloom - that will be a very cheery site.
Lots of rain here overnight too - lovely jubbly ☔️
@D0rdogne_Damsel - went a few years ago, and should have gone yesterday - we all shared our garden tulips and ate cake at home instead 🙄.
Hope grandson is given the all clear soon Hosta. And very sad news for you Lizzie - although a comfort that it was peaceful for them.
Chicklet is getting strange stomach pains that sound as if they could be appendicitis. On the line to 111 now. Think we might be making an outing later 😩
@Hostafan1 hugs ... I can only echo the words above ... not uncommon (I think especially with boys for some reason) ... and it’s certainly a stunt that Wonky pulled in the early days ... and look how well she turned out 😉 Try not to worry .... as if there’s any point in saying that. Xx

@D0rdogne_Damsel we were next door to Arundel last summer for stepWomble’s wedding ... for a cheap and cheerful stopover I can recommend the nearby Premier Inn. Very comfy, good facilities and pleasant staff. Also easy to find but away from very busy road so not noisy at night.

Hello @Hostafan1 - its good they're being vigilant - hopefully it'll turn out to be nothing @Busy-Lizzie - so sad about your horses and especially that you couldn't be with them at the end. @Yviestevie - ((hugs))
Hope everyone else is doing OK. I've had a quieter week. Done my Saturday chores now. I'm having to adapt my usual bread recipe to suit available ingredients. We'll see. Hopefully it'll at least be edible. I made shortbread yesterday, too
We've had a decent drop of rain yesterday and overnight. It's cool and misty today - makes me want to get out a dig - perhaps that's just a 'clay soil' thing - you know it's a narrow window when you might actually get a fork in the ground without breaking either it or your elbow. So dog walk next and then I'll be out this afternoon making mud pies

Morning all, Try not to worry @Hostafan1 Jonah lost loads of weight. It's really common. Jonah turned out to be a bit tongue tied which meant he wasn't feeding properly and it was sorted really quickly.
It's raining steadily here. I don't mind as it's doing the garden good. Not sure what I'll do to keep myself occupied today. Hubby is glossing the doors in the hall. Need to find something as I keep waiting for the phone to ring re mum. Stay safe everyone.
Just had an email to say my clematis x3 from Taylors are being delivered today. The first delivery company lost them. These are new ones coming with Yodel.
How come @Dovefromabove had rain at 10.30am and we didn't? Not fair!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
No rain here but plenty of mist so damp pussy paws this morning and a very wet dead mouse offered. No rain expected either but a dribble tomorrow and several dribbles on Monday which has been designated cleaning day.
Have had a lazy morning finishing my book but will get out and weed and, I hope, plant this pm. More flower seeds to sow too. Must have some foxgloves somewhere too.
I hope you got everything you needed @AuntyRach tho your NHS hour is way too early for this owl.
I hope all aches, pains, worries and sorrows are easier today. Hard times for us all but we need to stay positive. Easy to say, I know, as one or two of my patch ladies are succumbing to the blues. Trying to motivate them all is not easy but some are absolute stars. Takes all sorts.
