Would anyone be able to identify this lovely Rose I saw in a garden today when out for a walk. About 4 ft high, medium scent, has a delicate airiness to it, looks like an Austin.

I'll post this here as it's relevant rather than on my Notes thread..
...if anyone wants to know what Rose Replant Disease looks like, here is an example from my garden.
I have two roses suffering with RRD - even though I took out so much soil and replaced it before replanting. I have a guinee and a Crimson Glory who are sulking badly. I might take them out and pot them up and see what happens. Do you think that even after a year in the ground, they would do ok / better in a pot?

Regarding replant disease, would it work if you dug a big enough and deep enough hole then filled it with a bag of John Innes No3 for example and a helping of manure.

I did just that and it didn't help.

I did that as well @Fire and with masses of MF. Of the 5 cheap  bareroot roses I planted last autumn, 4 are in pots and doing well with 3 in bloom. The 5th I planted in the ground in the amended soil and it's really struggling, although it has got good green leaves. The previous rose in the same spot just gave up the ghost after 10 years. I'm just going to wait to see if the current one survives, at just £2.99 it doesn't really matter if not!
