    ..Jason... you could try Larch Cottage, they have a 3 week delay.. they are quite expensive but have a really good selection... I've been there several times..

    I use this nursery in Sussex, and have also visited on a number of occasions... you need to email them for availability.. they are very good for old roses.. their pots are large and the roses are usually in full bloom... they will advise on availability... I've always liked this nursery and have spoken with Mr Chapman by email on a number of occasions.. I have no connection whatsoever..

    @peteS, I’m at a similar stage to you, about to dip my toes into old roses. I will be ordering the repeat flowering Bourbon Mme. Isaac Pereire, possibly a Portland Rose de Rescht or Rose de Roi plus Blush Noisette and Mme. Alfred Carriere. I do have the Damask Mme. Hardy, but didn't do enough research in advance and am rather disappointed in it’s light fragrance, although it is lovely.

    For obelisks, go for the most sturdy you can afford and plan to get a good foot or so in the ground for stability. I have three new 8ft Gap Garden Products traditional obelisks in antique black, A good sturdiness/value option. Finished height is 6 1/2 ft. In two locations I struggled to push them into my heavy clay, but in a third spot, a newly dug bed, I needed to give it concrete feet otherwise I would have ended up with a 5ft obelisk!

    @Marlorena

    Thank you so much! I've just ordered boule de neige & mme isaac pereire. From larch cottage. Carriage was expensive but very good selection and availability.
    I just to decide about if I'm to grow Mme IP as a climber or shrub
    Ty again

    What do you think of our Beth @edhelka? Does it have a nice fragrance?

    @Katsa Strong and rosy. No special note to it, just rose.
