    Three Moonlight, just in.

A random rambler (pink) just about to break. (I'm not a fan but it keep coming back).

A wonderful cream rose I inherited with the house. It could be something like Niphetos, although this plant seems as tough as old boots. Lovely red/pink painted buds. Amazing smell. It's very happy (no thanks to me). Essentially it's growing through paving. Kind of. A paean to leaving a plant to do its own thing, with lovely results.

  • My rose bed from the opposite direction. This year the hedge will be long enough to start shaping.

Not sure what to do about the rambling bare canes.  As this was an inherited rose I haven't moved it, maybe another rose in front?

    ...beautiful garden @Lizzie27
… lots of lovely things going on there, and a nice outlook too..

@Fire I hope you enjoy Moonlight..  I had it once along a fence.

@AlliumPurpleSensation   ..your yellow rose looks a little lonely... I wonder if you might like to add another, like 'Mme. Alfred Carriere'... the white rose shown in this photo in a garden near me... growing on rope much like you have there..

Thankyou, I do have two others growing but only put in last year, they are at each end of the straight section.

An iceburg and the other is from Peter Beales, can't wait for it to flower as I nearly killed it bringing it home from Hampton Court!  I need to dig out the label though to remember it's name.

I'm trying to be patient as I'm sure it will improve each year.

The two newer roses have much lower down growth so don't look so straggly.

Thanks Marlorena. I've just realized that because our holiday in early June to Snowdonia has been cancelled, I shall be able to enjoy all my roses more and won't have to worry about keeping them watered.

    Lovely photos today from everyone!

Malvern Hills has buds with the sepals fully peeled - but the temperatures are taking a big plunge here tomorrow. Looks like another long dry spell according to the forecast.

Spotted first buds on Ghislaine de Feligonde, Emily Bronte and Mortimer Sackler this afternoon!
