...just to say thanks so much for the close up.. brilliant, I can see it clearly now... it just tells me something about the heritage which I omitted to check when I had it..   bit of a cheek asking you to try again, so I do appreciate that..

...and your flower garden is looking great too... and  all lovely roses from everyone else..

Adrian.. is that lawn I can see in your Roald Dahl photo?  or astroturf?  your balcony is larger than I realised if that's the case..   a good size isn't it?...

@Marlorena It’s artificial turf. It has got a size but a good part of it is very exposed - plus once the furnitures and bbq go in the space does get taken up. I’d taken the furniture away before this wind started just in case they get blown off the balcony ha!

By the way.. I’ve been very interested in finding out the actual breed of my yellow hybrid tea.. which I love a lot. Which parts of the plant/flower would you need to see in order to help me identify it?

Adrian,... no, that won't help you with the i.d.  what I was looking at has nothing to do with i'd'ing a rose.... more to do with lineage..
...to be honest Adrian, trying to i.d. yellow floribunda or hybrid tea roses is a thankless task, there are so many of them, and I no longer try... unless it's an absolute stand out that I've grown before and recognise... you could spend the rest of your days trying to i.d. yellow roses... however, saying that, one that is always popular, and can be picked up all over the place, sometimes just listed as 'yellow floribunda rose' is one called 'Korresia' [aka Sunsprite]… it's been around for ages, looks a bit like yours if I recall, maybe a lot like yours actually, and I thought so at the time...I grew it in the 1980's...   it's a starting point...

Modern roses are so hard to ID. I enjoy ID threads a lot but with modern roses, there are often so many similar ones. And there aren't enough photos of them on helpmefind to see all relevant details because people who support HMF usually don't grow many of these roses. I failed at trying to ID some of my inherited HTs and floribundas even though I know them well and have spent hours trying to do it.
Pink DAs and their lookalikes are quickly becoming a similarly hard-to-ID group. Some have easily recognizable foliage (Heritage and its descendants), some have other easy to spot details but the rest just somehow blends together. For example @Jenny-R 's rose tagged as Gertrude J. and looking like Olivia could easily be one of 10 other roses.

Fair enough.. I have also noticed that there are many roses that look incredibly alike. I looked up Sunsprite and I agree it looks like a contender for sure. Maybe I could come up with a nickname for my yellow rose seeing as it’s unidentified :)
