    Thank you @Tack, I must admit I was pleasantly surprised by just how many roses I was able to pick, especially at this time of year.

    @Marlorena I think I’ll pass on Petrovic after your experience, doesn’t sound very appealing. Lovely roses you have there. I’m still waiting on TCL but I have a Style Roses order arriving Friday 🤞

    Lovely bouquet @Lizzie27 and I agree, a touching tribute.

    ..yes, a fine display @Lizzie27 lots of variety for the time of year...
    .. very touching ..

    @Omori
    ..I'll be interested to see your Style roses order.. I've not had a bad one from them, like Trevor White's... so hope you are pleased ...

  • I’ve temporarily potted the roses from TCL after soaking them overnight. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality.

    The standard has a substantial cane and good root system. The 4 miniatures are all looking good, they have been sent unpruned and with lots of little rose hips.

    How does one prune miniature roses?

  • I love to see a garden covered with fresh snow

    ..aren't you having it too?  surely not just me...  it's really quite thick out there.. a bucket of water I had to soak the bare roots yesterday is frozen over.. just as well I got those roses planted.. I was going to leave them in the bucket overnight because these freezing conditions were not forecast...

    It's mainly just drizzling here, and cold, but not enough to snow.

    You must be somewhere under this lot Marlorena. From https://uksnowmap.com/
    This relies on individuals reporting so can be innaccurate in low density populations and there are always the jokers reporting snow in July.
