  • Hi, I've just ordered 3 Gertrude Jekyll and 3 Princess Alexandra of Kent, shrub roses as bare roots. Their final planting area will not be ready until the spring; will they be ok in pots until then - delivery expected early Feb?

Rescued remaining flooded roses today. it was so cold as my glove was wet all the time, Wintersweet fragrance helped to keep me going. Not sure if it should be picked as cut flowers but smelling wonderful indoors at the moment.

...when in Spring will the planting area be ready?.. early or late Spring?

..but yes you can keep them in pots, but as bare rooted roses, it would be best to get them planted by mid March...  you could heel them in too if the waiting time is not going to be too long..

Nice to see your garden again @Perki always beautiful.  I suppose you have some photos on the garden gallery but I'm miles behind on that thread. I see you acquired a persicaria after all, do you like it?
