@Klink . Please do learn. I had this problem and used either a reducing software or cropped the pictures as described in one of the pinned threads up there /\
I am happy for everyone ordering roses. I bought Desdemona and Princess Anne (because my name is Anna, the real princess or the rose isn't really important) as a gift for my grandmother, which I won't be able to see at all this Christmas. I am still thinking about ordering from Rosaplant, the rose in question is Lavender Veranda/Lavender Flower Circus. I hope for a lavender version of Joie de Vivre but the reviews on HMF say it isn't as disease resistant as other Kordes roses, so maybe it's a pass for now. At least I bought a dwarf eucalyptus (gunnii France Bleu), that's my retail therapy for now, although I am not sure the garden can take this much longer Also, I am seriously considering buying whatever new rose DA introduce in spring, hoping for something purple or dark coloured (replacing Munstead Wood) or maybe a pure white. I still have some pot space left.
I'm happy to have put in three more bare root Etoile from David Austin. Two plants had three canes and one plant has only two canes. Would you say this is a bit feeble? It looks so as compared to many of the pics shown on this thread.
Great to see everyone's bare root pics and lots I haven't heard of before so fun to look up. I quite like the look of @edhelka's spinosissima, I can imagine that would look quite grand as a winter shrub, with the colour and spikiness I mean.
@iaincd, I also have ordered Perle d'Or and Alfred de Dalmas/Mousseline, be interesting to see how they get on. Mine are on order from Tuincentrum Lottum along with a few others. Help me Find suggests Alfred de Dalmas and Mousseline are two different roses, not one rose with two names; I don't know if anyone on the forum has any info about this? I noticed plant suppliers I looked at seemed to use the name interchangeably.
Happy to say my two DA bare root roses arrived last week and have been planted and so far looking very perky, possibly, not sure, a little bit of new growth on one, tiny little shoots, maybe I missed them earlier. They are in my white patch and hopefully will heavily disguise an ugly grid lid. They are Susan Williams Ellis and Little White Pet. The pictures in the catalogue look beautiful, fingers crossed.

Well I capitulated yesterday evening and ordered plants from farmyard nurseries, six of the parahebe snow clouds and three each of an achillea and a penstemon I had on my list, the extras being that old excuse ‘to make the postage worthwhile’. So thanks @Omori, I think 😆 I looked at loads of photos online of the parahebes and couldn’t spot any difference with the Avalanche @Marlorena. Avalanche is still under PBR from the looks of it, so could it be they are the same plant with different names? This nursery still has 2L plants for £5.99 if anyone else is interested:
Two heavy frosts on the trot have probably done for my roses now, but they do keep surprising me. Just a few left on Stormy Weather at the moment, plus this slightly damaged Rose de Rescht (still smelling heavenly) and a couple of buds on The Prince that may or may not make it. I did mention in the summer that RdeR blooms only lasted a couple of days, but the autumn ones have lasted on average five - much better!

@Desi_in_London, yes, The Prince has been my joint favourite new rose this season (along with Stormy Weather). It’s a discontinued David Austin rose, still available from some suppliers. The blooms are lovely, but it is tricky. It needs a warm sheltered spot out of strong winds, which shreds the foliage and can snap the canes, plenty of morning sun (it can crisp a bit in strong afternoon sun) some air circulation as it’s prone to a little mildew on the new foliage... so if you can find the right spot for it I think it’s a brilliant, generally very healthy rose. Nice old rose fragrance too. The bloom form and colour is variable:
