Yes Tack, I wear Showa gloves all the time for everyday gloves. I find them very good and close fitting, again they come in different sizes. They usually only last me for about a year so I try to buy several pairs when they are on special offer. They are usually about £6 a pair. Their thermal thicker ones are also brilliant for winter wear. You can buy Showa gloves online as well.
I only wear my Tough Touch gauntlets for pruning roses. OH wears his when cutting down our life threatening berberis!

Gosh yes Berberis is bad, in an attempt to remove thorn attack from his regular gardening tasks he has removed two giant Berberis shrubs (One red, one green; really attractive) and an ancient Mahonia (the birds loved it).

And then I got roses... Are Showa gloves thorn-proof? I think the Tough Touch gauntlets look ideal but I need some everyday gloves too where my rose deadheading bits don't attack if he picks them up inadvertently

Thanks @Lizzie27.  I'm starting to question my being a dog lover lol

@tack we're free all weekend.  Just let me know what time you're picking him up.  He'll be ready with his suitcase!!

For every day gloves I use Briers.  I like to be able to feel exactly what I'm doing and these fit nice and snug.  Needless to say this is my second pair this season because of you know who.

My Albertine is doing a second flush. It's never done that before.
Is it panicking because it's too dry and knows it's dying or am I panicking.
I had a rose in the past that produced an over abundance of flowers and then didn't come back next year. It was sitting on a massive ants nest.
    In London. Keen but lazy.
  • Thank you @Katsa it's really lovely.  One to add to my wish list.

..it might be, but it isn't typical... could you show the rest of the plant please? the foliage and growth habit....

  • Oh my goodness @edhelka I need to block your photos.  I already have your Empereur Charles IV on my list after last time you posted it.  I have lots of oranges, pinks but nothing with that deep a colour.  Do you think this is one worth getting....any pros and cons.

I also love the colour variety on your
'Bordure Camaieu'.  It reminds me a little of Ghislaine de Feligonde.
