Can anyone tell me the name of this rose?

@Tack, I look forward to smelling HK, I was hoping it would be good as it’s for a pot by the front door/near a seating area along with Chartreuse de Parme and Pure Poetry.

One I am disappointed in, fragrance-wise, is Madame Hardy, my first summer flowering rose now in it’s second year. Light citrus/grassy, not a wafter, cute blooms but a short-lived season as well, barely a month. Will keep it another year to see if it improves but I’m kinda doubtful.
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.

@LizaJ - I did have a look last night as I thought I recognised it at first but was mistaken. Had a quick search on some of the main rose selling websites but couldn't find yours.

Hopefully someone else will recognise it!

  • We have planted 2 new David Austin roses this year - we are rose novices. They were both planted at the end of April - the lady of the lake is fully blooming, and looks amazing. Rambling rector is growing furiously but has no buds or flowers at all. They are both in south facing patio area, sun for most of the day. What are we doing wrong that's stopping the RR from flowering? I've googled for advice but nothing pops up so any hints or tips would be very helpful! Thank you

Thanks for looking Mr. Vine Eye, it's a recently inherited one as are many in the garden of the house we've just moved into but this one is very striking and smells lovely.

@Omori aYour Boscobel is gorgeous!! I can only imagine how sweetly perfumed your garden must be right now.. mine are gearing up for second flush so there’s nothing much going on at the moment.

@edhelka...hi edhelka, could I ask where I can buy "Blackberry Nip", great colour. Is it a HT, if so how healthy and rain resistant is it, because my recent foray into the HT world has been a bit of a disaster with huge problems with black spot and what appeared to be rust, and having no tolerance to rain.

@peteS Yes, HT. I got it last year in Tuincentrum Lottum, it was a typical "it's cheap so let's add another rose" purchase :D I ordered it because it was described as fragrant and disease resistant. So far, it works well for me as a potted rose/front garden display, as you can see it's healthy at the moment and I like the fragrance. Other than that, it's too soon to judge.
