    No, there's no need to replant it.. it's not hugely important either way.. but if you do another in the future, I would plant it just below or level...
    ..what rose did Mr Don plant?

    @Marlorena  @Daniel Rutherford was right, it was Thomas a Becket. He planted it in a pot to give it year to grow before planting it out in the Jewel garden. His reasoning was that there would be too much competition in the border for a very young rose so wanted to give it a bit of time to grow before planing out. The comment on the graft just surprised me a bit. Thank you for clarifying.
