Thank you for all your purple suggestions, I will have a look at them all! I only got my twilight a couple of days ago from cottage memories so hopefully it might show a bit more purple over time.
@Nollie, pure poetry does seem to ball in cool or wet weather but proper job is more resilient. However, the flowers have definitely baked in the hot heat! It's on a west facing wall and gets the sun for around 8 hours a day.
The stars of the garden at the moment are 'Joie de Vivre' and 'Super Excelsa'. I haven't expected much from 'Super Excelsa' in her 1st year but it's already looking good. It will make a really pretty weeping standard.
And from the front garden, some purples. The last flower of 'Belle de Crécy'
'Reine des Violettes' is so pretty
And to add to the colour scheme, the hydrangea is starting to bloom. Everything summer flowering I put in the front garden is meant to fit with this, that's why I focus on purple and blue.
@Daniel Rutherford That is one very lovely picture (below) - composition, roses, palette. I haven't got that kind of selective density in my garden, it's still patchy. I think bush roses work best planted densely - as here. Jungly and very successful.
@Mr. Vine Eye - I love this below mix of foxgloves and roses and allium against the white. Just beautiful.
Thanks @Katsa, Gospel/PJ it is then, I was already favouring that one. I really need to cut down my list as I have far more roses on it than room to put them!

Believe it or not - this is a Pink Flower Carpet - not! It's all one rose, and this year has reached the top of the rose arch on the right.
Two The Fairy roses, 1 pink & 1 white planted together, again higher than I anticipate
