I am omori_rose_garden on Instagram, and I know what you mean @Marlorena everything is so perfect. I guess that’s the thing with social media. Makes it seem like everyone’s lives are out of a magazine but just off screen is the mess I’m sure 😛

I have no idea what I’m doing on insta btw...supposed to be using hashtags I guess? I’m kind of treating it like a photo blog.

Thanks for sharing @Omori, I bet the garden was lovely at 5am. Is that all one plant? Are the canes easy to train horizontal? Like you I wish the scent was more but TG is a keeper if the blooms and growth stay stronge and healthy.

..how do you both find the scent on that rose?  I used to have it, but can't remember, over 10 years ago... I often recommend it to people because it's usually such a good do-er.. sometimes too good, my plant got rather large..

...I found you on Instagram @Omori...   don't know about anyone else but I get some strange followers I must say, body builders and suchlike... people who seem to have no interest in plants or roses, so I don't follow them back...  I know what you mean about hashtags, I only use a few, I really can't be doing with it too much..

The scent is very pleasant, I'm not good at delving into the flavours of smell I'm afraid. But I am surprised it isn't stronger given the hype. You have to get right down into the flower, but it is very early days. GG and Charles Darwin are multiples stronger.

I'll be happy if the rose grows large but is trainable.

...yes it's trainable.. I was able to bring the canes down at an angle, diagonally.. on a fence... I've seen it grown well over an arch too... so I would recommend it for that..

@Tack It is lovely early in the morning, nice on hot days like we’ve been having 🥵 Yes it’s all one plant. I think you could train it fairly horizontal, I just re-tied it to the shed as it needed redoing and it wasn’t much of a problem, except for the thorns 😛

@marlorena I agree it’s a good doer and I’d grow it again even though the scent is only light for me (despite DA saying it’s strong).

I think there are mass following tools that those people use to try to get maximum followers.

@katsa I just now figured out who you are on insta, I’m slow 😆
