    @Pianoplayer I love For your eyes only.  Had my eye on it at a rose centre the other week where they had them planted on mass and looked stunning.  Makes me want to go back and get one now seeing it again :smile:

    Hi @poppyfield64 glad I am not the only one!  :) The flowers don't last long, but there are lots of them. Seems to be robust and growing well, even in my inexpert hands!

    PS After seeing Marlorena's Viennetta clematis, I have added it to my list - let me know how you get on with it.

    For me

    Royal William
    Eye of the Tiger
    Generous Gardener
    Charles Darwin
    Mountbatten

    New but promising are Wollerton Old Hall and Teasing Georgia in that the open blooms have coped well with the rain.

    @Nollie

    Maybe it just dosent like the position in the garden. Roses in general do well in my soils. Although that end of the garden possibly gets slightly less sun light than the rest, still a good 6-8 hours though

    I have 3 groups of roses:
    1. Roses which started their 1st flush a week or two (or more) before the wet weather (3rd June).
    2.  Roses which started their 1st flush during the wet weather (in the 1st week of June or later). These really can't be judged.
    3. Roses which haven't really started yet (maybe some blooms but not the full show).
    Out of the 1st group, the best one is 'Souvenir de St. Anne's'. It flowered for 5 weeks (late April + May), then had a two-week pause and started its 2nd flush this week.
    Somewhere between group 1 and 2 is Alba Maxima, it has been flowering for almost 4 weeks and there is still a bud or two to go. I would take a once-blooming rose with one long flush with many flowers over modern hybrid tea with three flushes of 2-5 flowers every time.
    Out of the 2nd group, I like 'Gabriel Oak'. And 'Claire Jolly' because its pink shines in this weather.
    'Scarborough Fair' and 'Scented Garden' have been flowering for weeks too, these are no surprise, reliable bloom machines.
