    Yes the Flower Circus range comes in different colours, so you have the Red one... there are about 10 others all different colours... nice that you've got a bit of a mixture going on there with one bloom..  so the correct i.d for your rose for future ref is 'Red Flower Circus'.....

    @Marlorena

    Thank you for those recemedations. Funnily enough I remember admiring Blush Noisette at David Austins last year. They had it as a small climber though. Sally homes is not a rose I'm familiar with so will do some research. Thanks again

    Shrub, climber or short rambler it's very versatile... I keep mine as shrub form these days... 4 x 4 during winter and about 6 x 6 at midsummer...

    I like rounded purple dwarf shrubs.. especially evergreen ones like Pittosporum 'Tom Thumb'.. I grow this with pink and yellow roses..

    ..some early Spring-a-lings...
    Veronica 'Georgia Blue'...Rhodanthemum hosmariense 'Marrakech'... white Arabis..

    ..yellow Kikomachi tulips.. I think I got a rogue one in there too..

  • Spring-a-lings, I like that😊

    Great pics everyone looking forward to seeing more. Working from home is keeping me busier than I'd hoped but I noticed in passing that my new roses Westerland and Summer Wine are amongst the most bonny and pleasing. Mega frost again this morning.

    Just seen a post on Facebook where someone had James Galway, Gertrude Jekyll AND Mortimer Sackler in a single trough container! 😱

    The trough looked about 25-30cm x 70cm and maybe 60-70cm deep.

    ^we all make mistakes... lol.  but we should learn from them, and I expect they will have some nice blooms in the first year... most plants fool us when they're young, then suddenly it hits you..

    I'm getting frosts at the moment, and I know some who are new to roses can worry about losing stems... it would have to be worse than -5C usually..
    Roses have 3 dormant buds to each node... most times just one of them breaks to form a cane... but sometimes you might notice 2 or all 3 break..  they have back-up..
