I know this will be controversial to some but I am not trying to be, just stating how I feel at the moment..…I had my flu jab today but decided to hold off on my Covid booster. I have happily had all Covid jabs going up to now plus I have had Covid itself and am all for vaccines. However, I am beginning to read/hear one or 2 things that are making me think/want more information. My mother had a bad reaction to her second jab (never had any since) and I am now questioning if it impacted on my health. I suffer from various autoimmune things (as does my mother, thanks for your genes🤣) and have had various flares over the past 12 months after years of being ok. Probably no connection, but as I say, I have a small seed of doubt for now. Who knows I may well get the booster later but holding off for now. For me the benefit of taking a vaccine has to out weigh the consequences of not taking one and right now I would rather have Covid and feel miserable for a week than suffer another year of flares, that are slowly coming back under control, and all the medication that comes with it.
@Emptyheadtime it's a decision only you can make, but who is to say that you would just feel miserable for a week if you got Covid? That may have been true last time, but you had the vaccines then. My wife and I both had the flu and Covid jabs last Saturday. Other than a bit of a sore arm for a few days we've had no adverse reaction, but we didn't have to previous jabs either.
Maybe you should talk you concerns over with your GP, if you can get an appointment!
Being pretty much bedridden this week with Covid, first time round (haven't had so much as a cold for over 15 years) I dread to think how much worse it could have been without the vaccine. I was ill a week after the first Vax, but am aware that is actually your immune system not the vaccine.
I had a Pfizer autumn booster this week and I feel fine, just a sore arm. I was glad to stick with Pfizer (all the jabs to date have been Pfizer). I have had no feeling of oddness or virusy feeling after any of the jabs. I'm very appreciative
All our jabs have been Pfizer too as that's all there was. We've just received letters inviting us to go and get our flu jabs any time after 17 October and to update our Covid boosters tho they're not due till December as we had them in June, before my new knee op.

I'm visiting my mum in Ireland next week. She's been listing all of her friends and their relatives and weddings where practically everyone has tested positive, people testing positive and getting the plane back to America. She's 93 and I was worrying about passing on something to her. I'm afraid that I'll be lucky if I survive myself. I hope the vaccination works. I've heard of many people here with covid. The trouble is, same as there, we're dependent on anecdotal evidence. Why cause unrest by counting the cases?
