I’ve got Covid at the moment, the first time for me.
I’ve had shingles for the past 2 weeks and felt really unwell with it. I had one solitary day of feeling well on Saturday and went out and about and did quite a bit and then felt really washed out on Sunday. On Monday I started feeling a bit bunged up with a sore throat, followed yesterday by coughing, headache and fever. I did a Covid test this morning which showed a very dark positive line. I can’t believe it, after being ill with shingles. I’m never normally ill so this has knocked me for six!!
@Nanny Beach If your temperature really is above 39.4, you need to seek advice. Take paracetamol or ibuprofen, bathe with tepid water. That high a temperature needs to be taken seriously.
Thanks folks,will re test today. The battery ran out in the thermometer last night, don't have any that size. Will pack hubby off to buy some. I did take extra strength paracetamol with caffeine.. trouble is, I have a hiatus hernia,so get dreadful heartburn, and am feeling nauseous. I forced down a table spoon of yogurt for this one. Sats were fine 97% , otherwise I probably would have done 111.
My youngest daughter said "welcome to the club" as well I told her to Foxtrot Alfa. Luckily she knows I'm joking! Other granny has asthma and said the first time was the worst, daughter said the same.CatDouch same to you. I was offered a shingles jab, just as I was having the first Covid jab,so I didn't have it..I was 100% sure this was going to be Covid.

@punkdoc any other advice?
If any further deterioration, you need to go to A@E.
Good luck.
