Great Aunt Sylvia had a stent put in at 90.  She went on for another 14 years.

A stent is really quite a minor procedure though.

    Hi @Loxley,

Without seeing the Y axis of this graph it is rather difficult to follow the point being made.
The difference between the top point and the lowest point of the trend could actually be a small number.

The point of the graph is to disprove the notion being put about by conspiracy theorists, that the vaccines are causing an increase in cardiac issues. In that sense, the x scale is actually irrelevant, it's the fact we don't see any upward trend coinciding with the vaccine rollout that refutes their argument.

Went to a funeral of a friend who died of Covid last Friday, aged 38.

I don't know precise details but he went home from work feeling unwell and difficulty breathing, and passed away overnight on his bedroom floor. We all assumed some kind of undiagnosed heart problem, but the autopsy said he died of covid. Sadly it is not unheard of for people to deteriorate extremely quickly with covid.

Our condolences @Loxley ... so sad to lose a friend in that way.  Our thoughts are with all who loved and cared about him.  It does seem that some folk are more susceptible to Covid than others, for reasons as yet unknown.   :(

That's very upsetting @Loxley. My condolences.

    Another Covid booster?
Does anyone know if another booster is being offered for otherwise 'normal' older people now? - I haven't see anything on the 'medja' - nothing on the news or BBC in general that I noticed.
I've just had my sister on the phone and she was saying that another booster (I think that it would be a fifth jab) is available now via the NHS.
    I had my initial (March 21), 2nd (May 21), 3rd (Dec 21), 4th (Sep 22).
