I calculated that my April 24th vaccination makes me eligible from this Saturday, October 23rd.

Unless you’re frontline health or social care staff, I do not believe you can use the online facility to book the jab and have to wait for contact from NHS central or your GP.

  • Yes, thanks. I'm absolutely fine - mild cold symptoms for 3 days only!

Todays new cases are truly alarming.
With vaccine efficacy waning for many, due to length of time since they had 2nd. jab, many colleagues are now suggesting that people need to re think their behaviour.

I know many on here never stopped, but it if you did, it is time to put those masks back on, avoid crowded indoor spaces, social distance etc etc.

Hope this is not insulting to peoples intelligence.
How can you lie there and think of England

Yes, exactly my situation. I found, however, when I went on about an hour ago, that the message about having to wait until contacted had been removed. I got told I was ineligible further on down the line when I'd typed in my date of birth and NHS number, and they obviously knew better than I did that I'd got the date wrong. I expect to be able to proceed past that point after Saturday.

That's not what was said in the gov. press conference this afternoon, but I wouldn't be surprised if the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing.

No, it was what it used to say, but I think they removed the restriction at the same time as you flagged it up on here. I went straight on from when you told me about it, and the restriction was gone then.

@Singing Gardener I'm very glad to hear that.

I did not hear that update, Jenny, and acknowledge what Costumedvole has just written. I was going on (now out of date) information on the NHS website.

What did you make of the Press Conference?

“Do what you can…” (Javid) ??!

Sounded like they preparing us for the return of rules, mandates and lockdowns “if” (Javid) we don’t continue to be careful.

So leave it for the public to decide what ‘careful’ is, and do that (if you can be bothered, for the greater good etc) and see what happens?

edit: hadn’t seen your post @punkdoc - agree.
