I see the law believes that at 8 you are old enough to be aware you are breaking it. Where we used to live, think it was about 15 years ago,a local 12 year old girl pregnant, she was pictured on the front page of our local paper, with her Mother, both with arms folded, and her Mother said she was proud of her.The 2 boys who tortured and murdered Jamie Bulgar were 10.

My niece turned 10 yesterday.  My nephew is 11.

Any child of that age who becomes pregnant, or deliberately hurts another person, is themselves a victim of something or somebody.

@FlyDragon I work in a retail pharmacy and I am exempt. My point is that nobody seems to be wearing masks correctly.

I have to disagree with the latter part of this. I believe that a child of 11 does understand that it is wrong to deliberately hurt another person.

If they don't, or don't care, then they are a victim of whoever was responsible for raising them and didn't.

There are plenty of adults who don't understand that ... to believe that a child who has not had good teaching and role models, will by some sort of 'natural instinct' understand the consequences for others or themselves of their actions, is incredibly naive.   :'(

So,in other words, the ‘guilt’ might lie on the shoulders of someone potentially many generations back?
