Have you seen the young antivaxers seriously ill, even dying of Covid. Where do they get these strange ideas from. Government wants to kill us,make us sterile, put micro chips in us. Covid doesn't exist.
It's one thing, people believing what they read on social media in preference to what medical professionals tell them. It's frustrating, for sure. But I find at least as sad the people who are being convinced by church leaders that accepting a vaccine is somehow contrary to their religion. Both groups are being manipulated and in both cases, it's very hard to see what those who are promoting the false ideas have to gain from doing so.

Vaccine uptake has increased in France recently since the government announced there would be no access to public places, public transport, bars, restaurants etc without a Covid Pass. If you don't have the vaccine this means frequent PCR tests and, from mid September, these will no longer be free.
I'm president of a small needlework and patchwork club which has free use of a public meeting room and the council has sent me a document to sign saying I undertake to check every member's Covid status and maintain the hands, face, space rules till further notice.

Devon and Cornwall have more cases per 100,000 than anywhere else in England. my Tesco driver (who recently had COVID, also his partner, they were very ill despite the vaccine) said it had gone through their depot like a dose of salts, that’s 15 miles from here, now it’s going through our Morrison, 5 miles away, they have hardly any staff, that’s why the shelves are empty. My grandson has taken a job in his local Tesco stacking shelves, 5 consecutive nights, Wednesday- Sunday 11pm - 8am, just until he goes up to university, but good money in the meantime. He had his 1st vaccine on the day he was 18 and started the job straight after.
There does seem to be a very clear link to Boardmasters - lots of reports of infections from there. But just the sheer numbers of people in the region must also be having an effect - so many places are absolutely rammed full of people

Similar here along the holiday coast. Massive influx of tourists form The Netherlands, Germany and elsewhere in France have led to a huge numbers of new cases but not amongst local people cos they're doing the same routines as usual - face, space, hands - whereas the people on hols seem to have left their brains at home.

Yes, except for Covid there are signs all over. You can't go in shops here without a mask. Busy pedestrian streets have signs up reminding people about masks and distancing but they are all too often ignored.

Hello friends, I need some help/advice. Background - 10 days before last Christmas I had a silly fall. Split my large Femur leg bone from top down about 2 and half inches. Off to hospital. Operation 2 days later to screw bone back together. Boxing Day was told 'very sorry but the ward (4 beds) has now got Covid, including me (after spending all of lockdown isolating myself happily, apart from daughter visiting, and taking all precautions). Christmas and my 78th Birthday spent in hospital with mild covid symptoms except for breathing problems. I'm an outdoor person and all windows and the ward door kept shut, I was desperate for some fresh air. Daughter, bless her, got permission from Docs to have my stitches out at home and at 10pm on New Years Eve she grabbed me out of hospital and got me home, covid and all. The next 4 weeks with me more or less bed bound we cranked up the heating and opened all the doors and windows. We wore masks everytime we were near each other and she washed her hands so much they were raw. But she didn't catch covid. We took several covid tests until I eventually had a clear one - I kept getting positive results? Eventually I had my first vaccine mid March. After the 12 weeks wait (as it was then) for my second jab I heard nothing so after a couple of weeks I phoned Surgery to ask why. There had been a mix up and my name had not come up plus they had finished doing Jabs, but I could still go down to the local vaccine clinic and have my 2nd dose there, but would have to check that they still had the AZ available. I ummed and arred over this as it was most awkward as I was still hardly able to move about freely, plus I seemed to be suffering quite badly from what is now being called long covid. Now some 5 months have gone passed since my first vaccine and daughter and I have just paid for a medical blood test for anti-bodies to the virus. Daughter's came back that she has no antibodies, nor did she catch the virus from me (she has not been vaccinated, but not going into that here) but my test came back showing that I have 2500 'whatevers' worth of antibodies which I understand is a pretty good amount?? So here I am, a previously pretty healthy active person, now held back by almost total exhaustion, lack of lung capacity etc from long covid (don't get me wrong I'm just thankful to be alive), just started driving short distances again BUT should I A. still have a 2nd jab if I can get it - on top of all anti-bodies I seem to already have or B. can I still go for the vaccine booster later in the year when I have my flu jab - will this be allowed if I don't have the second Jab? Everyone is giving me different opinions and suggestions and I'm really muddled. Apologies for such a long post but I'm desperate for some help. Thank you. x
You need to get medical advice, not hearsay from gardeners. Talk to your GP or the local vaccination centre or the helpline 111 and explain your situation.
I hope you can get it resolved.

and here’s our problem! I can’t believe how careful we’d all been down here just to have this happen. Truro hospital has 27 in the icu, they didn’t have that amount at the beginning before any lockdowns. This and G7 which just couldn’t be done by Zoom meetings!
