    Over 31 million 1st doses and almost 4 million had 2nd dose.

    That’s 61%/7.5% of those aged 20 or over.

    Had my second jab Thursday of Moderna.  Made me really sick on Friday better today.  Here in texas the vaccine is now open to everyone that will get on the list.    My kids have had their first jab. I'm surprised how many of my friends are afraid to get the vaccine.  If we can't convince more people to get it we may take longer to reach herd immunity.  I can now say i have had covid and the vaccine.

     My father in law is in danger of going past his 12 week gap between vaccines because they won’t be getting any more in his local area until mid April. Does that mean that he has to start again with another “first” dose? No one seems to know.  I had my first (Astra Zeneca), just over 2 weeks ago. Bad flu symptoms for 24 hours, arm hurt for 2 days. Well worth it though.
    Carmarthenshire (mild, wet, windy). Loam over shale, very slightly sloping, so free draining. Mildly acidic or neutral.

    Yes, I fear Mum will now miss her 12-week period too. I'm wondering same as you @Emerion, what happens now?

    The antibodies  and primed T cells won't just suddenly disappear,  but they may reduce over time. If it's a few weeks either way it shouldn't matter.  If they never get the 2nd dose then the protection would not last as long, as if they have both doses.
    Me & my wife are trying to book our 2nd doses at the moment too.

    @Lyn

    i totally agree about being careful after the first jab as I'm in the middle of my 10 days isolation after testing positive three weeks after my first jab. Im emergency services and a lot of us have had our jabs thankfully. I have been dealing with covid positive people for over a year without the vaccine without catching it, but it seems people are being less cautious now (as in the general public as our procedures are still in force and adhered to) as they have had the jab when that simply isnt the case.

    According to papers 90%, of white, 59% non white

     What does this mean?

    Percentage of people who have had first jab, which was what was asked

    I guessed it meant the % of those two groups who had accepted an invitation to have the vaccination.

    The adult population of the UK is c. 51 million. Around 44 million of these people identify themselves as white and 7 million as non-white. If 90% of the 44 million and 59% of the 7 million had been vaccinated that would mean 43.7 million people would have received their jabs. That’s not the case.

    From what I understand, everybody gets invited to the party but not everybody wants to attend
    In London. Keen but lazy.
