I shall not return to a "normal" life, I will avoid very crowded places, and I shall continue to wear a mask, where I think it is appropriate.
That's what we've decided to do.

No conspiracy to drop in 1st. vaccinations, simply that more vaccines are now going to Europe, as was agreed.
How can you lie there and think of England

There are a few drop in set ups no appointments required around here. Maybe google it?

It does seem strange that people are actually fighting in the UK to GET a jab where in other countries you can't persuade some to get one at all!

Here too @debs64, but over 18s only. That's probably what my daughter will do if they're still running on her birthday. I gave blood on my 18th, she'll be doing something similar

I felt a bit embarrassed wearing a mask at first. Now I feel exposed without one..

I had my sister up for a visit in Saturday to go out to a couple of GC and potter in the garden.  Both double jabbed.

She felt a bit achy that night and we put it down to being out all day in the garden

I had a rapid test floating around (I’ve used them when I’ve been on the bus as not many wear masks) so she took it. Came back positive.

We went to get proper tests on Sunday. Hers came back this morning as positive and mine negative.

I ordered more rapid tests and will re-test myself tomorrow and Wednesday.

We’ve both stuck to “the rules” throughout the pandemic yet here we are: her positive and me now isolating.

She has no idea where she got it as she’s only been to the supermarket and to work (no contact with anyone at work without social distancing).

This will be the norm for a lot of us come the 19th and beyond.

Opening the floodgates; many will get very wet and some will drown.

Here’s hoping the two jabs make it less of a trial for her.

They did say at the start that having both jabs won’t stop you getting COVID but you probably won’t die from it.
We still need to be careful.
