There seems no rhyme or reason in it. OH had the Pfizer one whilst I had the AZ jab but neither of us had any symptoms apart from a mildly sore arm. His slightly younger brother and his wife, like us, had the two different vaccines and both felt distinctly poorly. My younger brother was fine after his but his wife was rough after hers and spent a day in bed.

Given that 15 million jabs have been given in the UK so far it is not really surprising that some have more severe reactions than others.
We nearly always hear about the bad ones but I am sure there are millions who had no reaction at all!
Not had mine yet (level 7) so we shall see how I fare then  :/

Definitely had the arm relaxed!! At 70 with 4 kids, and all the jabs I had to have in Nursing, have had lots of experience haha, I cannot lay on it, no swelling, thought I felt better yesterday afternoon, then was wiped out, feeling OK now. Of course we are obsessesed, this IS the covid thread

I see that Amanda Holden who had recently tested negative went to visit her vaccinated parents to sort out some crisis of other. The parents' neighbours ratted on her. If they'd been better neighbours, maybe she wouldn't have needed to visit them.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

I don’t particularly like her but it seems she has been criticised for doing what many others are doing. If there was a genuine family emergency I think lots of us would do the same. I would.

I think that's perfectly allowable as a 'reasonable excuse' and I would have done exactly the same. I bet the neighbours wouldn't have ratted if it had been someone unknown.

Seeing a picture of herself with her parents taken last year, don't let them hear any talk of "elderly", they are both very attractive and her Mum looks 50. The day before her Birthday.

Amanda Holden is not the first and won’t be the last, dear oh dear, very sad

Looking 50 is no indication of anything.
Since Amanda Holden has just celebrated her own 50th birthday that would put her parents at least in their 70's.
No-one has any idea of their personal circumstances.
It is not for us to judge what anyone else considers distressing.
A daughter seeing her parents should not be seen as anything untoward.
A couple of years ago if we had heard that someone had NOT gone to see their parents after a distressing phone call we would have considered them uncaring......how times have changed  :/
