Will be just like you when Mr C gets his @the tidy gardener ....only 2 more priority groups to go before he is in with a shout.

Just heard from a friend who has been awol for a while.  Now I know why.  Her terminally ill Dad got taken into hospital for a while around Christmas/New Year.  Whilst there he caught Covid.  The hospital did not inform the family that this was the case, just sent him home with a form that had the Covid box ticked (amongst a myriad of other tick boxes).  The family were sharing his full time care needs. He then infected her Mum, her, her two teenage children, her sister, her brother in law and their three children.

I hope this is an isolated incident in one poorly run ward.  But it does make you think about #Stay at home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives.

Her Dad died.  The rest of the family have recovered.

That's awful @Chicky but I have to say that taking into account my SIL's recent experience I'm not suprised.  Hope the rest of the family recover well.

My Hubby also had his jab today.  I'll have to wait until the 7.2 million with underlying health conditions have been vaccinated before I get my turn.
Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • Oh dear @chicky, I  am afraid this new, so called  Kent variant , seems to do this,  once one person in the house gets it everyone else does. Should not have been sent home , hope they all recover fully.

That idea is right up there with failing grayling's idea to stop prisoners having access to books.
@B3 I believe prisoners of today are very well looked after compared of years ago, saying that the laws have also changed unfortunately not for the best in my opinion
Interesting. Do you have experience of the UK prison system ... as a worker or inmate ... or as a visitor perhaps?
It’s not really about if I have any experience of the prison system, I have strong views regards some prisoners being treated as they are, question for you @Dovefromabove do you believe extreme killers, example -: the likes of Micheal Adebowale that killed Lee Rigby in cold blood should be considered for a vaccine, although the murderer in question was removed from Broadmoor and admitted into hospital after contracting convid 19 in January for specialist treatment to help him fight the virus

@Te you have answered your own question surely? Much better to give a vaccine than use precious hospital resources to help someone most of us despise? In this country we have made the decision to care for criminals in prison and so we must carry that through and give them the same level of care that others get.
We must also consider all those in prison who have done nothing wrong, obviously including all those who work in or visit prisons. They need protection. If people fall into the categories that ensure them a vaccine then offer them a vaccine. Seems simple enough to me.

Well unfortunately the person responsible for killing Lee Rigby is still alive, should we still of had the death penalty in place we wouldn’t have to worry about others in the first place

And on that basis, the Birmingham Six would have been the Six Feet Under Six.

Lee Rigbys killers murdered him in broad daylight in cold blood in front of many witnesses, think you will find it would be difficult to prove them innocent, there are complete differences in the two
