Incase of returning headache, you may have to talk quietly 😂

My wife has had her call for the vaccine but nothing for me yet. We're the same age, same surname, address etc. I'm happy enough to wait my turn but I wonder how they picked her if the system didn't pick me up at the same time?
If you're in a qualifying 'cohort' you don't have to wait to be called. Just go onto the website a book it. Use your NHS number. I had a letter about 3 days after I had the vaccine. But I agree it's a good idea to space yours and your wife's a few days apart, in case either or both of you is unwell

In Scotland you do have to wait until you are called.
All appointments are issued by letter (blue envelope). If you can't make the day/time given then you can 'phone and re-arrange. Seems to work well, it was all very efficient when I got my first jag. I should get the second before the end of May.

  • I've still got a sore arm 3 weeks later! It's good to know others have it too.i feel like an old lady putting my best on this morning before I'm off gardening! I did ask to have it in my right arm as I'm left handed.refused at first then mentioned gardening and I gave her some advice so she said ok and did my right arm instead! She did say it had to be in the left arm officially. That's not fair if your left handed like me.so glad she did as it's not so much sore now it just hurts when I lift it
